crossfire compatibility

does anyone know if you can tri crossfire a 4850x2 and put an old 2900 xt in the second pci slot, are the compatible, just curious until i get another new card , and to see how much more the 2900 adds to benchmarking?

no that won't work. They need to be in the same series... so the cards compatible with the 4850x2 for crossfire would be 48xx series.
