Shouldn't be too expensive if they want it to sell. If it's about the same price as Asus and FoxConn offerings, I don't think they'd do too well, since most would buy a more known brand, in the motherboard category at least.

You know I would really like to seem some SLI boards make it over to the Intel side, it sure would be nice instead of supporting the weaker AM2 line.

Whomever writes the PR for BFG might want to check their hype a little closer before writing this dribble:
"BFG Technologies, Inc., the leading North American and European NVIDIA supplier of advanced 3D graphics cards..." I highly doubt BFG is quote: "THE LEADING..." And how many folks do hot swapping of S-ATA drives on desktop PCs? Answer: NO ONE. Instead of a bunch of hype and useless "features" why not deliver a mobo that: 1. Has 3 USABLE PCI slots when dual-slot Video cards are used 2. Has a stable vcore that adjusts from .8- 1.75V regardless of what CPU is installed 3. Has a BIOS with all of the proper adjustments that actually functions properly 4. Has no memory compatibility issues with two or four slots full of DRAM 5. Has tech support that actually has a CLUE and cares about serving their customers Is this REALLY too much to ask? No it is not. |

1. Is virtually impossible, especially if you want a functional PCI-E x1/4 slot.
2. Would be nice, maybe it will. 3. Would be nice, maybe it will. 4. Talk to AMD about that one, it isn't something the motherboard manufactures can fix. 5. I would like to see any company have this, I have yet to find one though. Seeing as how one issue you mention is impossible to fix and another sacrafices one thing to get another, yes I would say it is too much to ask. |

The reason why there are less PCI slots is so that we will move to PCIe. It is the future. 2 should be enough, 1 for sound, and one for other.

This board is little more than a relabeled version of the Foxconn SLIx16 board that's already available.

foxconn rebadge, meaning its a solid board. coupled with a BFG lifetime warrantee, it might be "worth it".

BFG Tech BFGRANF590S Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retai
I bought a BFG mobo. Im switching to AM2 and this is my second install. I hear alot of naysayers here about BFG and honestly Im keeping my fingers crossed to prove everyone wrong. I dont know alot about overclocking, putting pcs together and im not FOR or AGAINST any namebrands.
I do know this my first install was a DFI Lanparty Expert nf4 socket 939 cost me only 130bucks over at the egg. After assembling the whole PC which took me 4hours(first time) it took me 5hours to figure out how come the windows wasnt booting up. I tried a ton of things and had a few guys in my clan helping me. One even owned a DFI and was an experienced builder. Know what the problem was? 1gig ram stick in slot 1. should have been in slot2. contrary to what the manual said. So i hear the DFI was a better overclocker than most boards. So I start to dabble into overclocking. I ran my AMD 4000 2.4ghz up to 2.9 stable with 3Dmark2006 without upping any voltages. That was nice. Guess what? So does everyone else that i know that has that chip. Better Bios? Who knows I only touched like 3things in it. I guess what Im trying to say is that with the gaming communities demands for better upgrades more and more ppl are learning how to be builders. Some ppl are going for price, some ppl are going for simplicity, some people are supporting names and some people are using their high knowledge of building pc's and tweeking things to get the best and most out of their parts. Ultimately shortening its life, but doesnt everything in the computer parts world have a short life anyway? Well, this is what i bought. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813189002 Is it the best? I doubt it. Is it a good deal? seems like it to me. 11reviews so far and still 5eggs. From what ive read in the reviews there were no problems with getting the boards up and running. It was a great buy. Havnt read much on overclocking but I cant wait to see what the AMD 5200 will do. Look what it comes with!! I just hate people saying YUK. dont buy BFG Well, I will keep this forums posted on how it works. thanks for lending an ear. |
