Loved the first one because of the level destruction. Hated the second one because they took most of that out. Hoping this one will be good, but I'll have to wait until it is released to say.

I can't say I'm too enthusiastic about this. The first two were alright but, this third is a series revival. If the game hasn't been updated to keep up with the times (specifically, more open-ended gameplay), it will be another play once and stick it on the shelf type. It comes out tomorrow.

It didn't had that much destruction, right? The hype said you could bash everything and I was young and stupid so I was all like OMGWTFCOOL! and then I was like "Meh". It wasn't bad though.. Or maybe I should play it again? Hmm... Food for thought.

The first one was pretty cool, especially for its time. And while there wasn't a lot of actual destruction, the blowing shit up aspect was damn cool, even by todays standards. Virtually every surface could be destroyed, unfortunately underneath the most of the breakable surfaces was a non-breakable structure. So while you could blow away columns and they would shatter, there would still be the center of the column standing that you couldn't destroy.

Of course there were areas where you could blow up entire walls, even reveal secret rooms by doing so. It was really only the structual elements that couldn't be completely destroyed.

The first one was an amazing game, I still say more MP fun than Halo, just no network abikity.

If you call pointing a rocket at a wall and making your own tunnels through the walls not too much, then your dead on As far as I can think I still cant think of a game that matches it.

You had to be shooting at rock, like canyon walls or cement walls. Hitting metal with explosives will mess them up and bend them, but usually wont destroy them.
