NEC Delivers Unmatched Viewing Experience With 43-inch Seamless Curved Display
NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading stand-alone provider of commercial LCD displays and projectors, today announced the 43-inch NEC CRV43 ultra-widescreen specialty desktop display, designed for use in applications such as professional graphics, higher education, government, financial, command & control and home office.
The NEC CRV43 curved display can be seen at InfoComm 09 (Peerless Booth No. 5441) on June 17-19 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. ![]() The unique NEC CRV43 curved display provides a much wider field of view and greater dynamic range with its double WGXA resolution (32:10 aspect ratio). The user’s taskbar is extended natively and setup is made easy to configure with one input. These features make it an ideal solution for simulation, digital imaging and command & control. “The NEC CRV43 curved display provides an excitingly immersive viewing experience for any type of user,” said Keith Yanke, Director of Product Marketing for NEC Display Solutions. “Its lightning-fast response time coupled with its seamless curved screen provides enhanced comfort, decreased frustration and increased productivity. The monitor eliminates the bezel and screen gap issues that have complicated users’ work environments for years.” The NEC CRV43 curved display includes the following features:
The NEC CRV43 curved display is backed by a 3-year parts and labor warranty including the backlight and will be available for July 2009 shipment with estimated street price of $7,999. Source: NEC Last edited by btarunr; Jun 5, 2009 at 06:52 AM. |

Impressive, but i'd rather cable tie three 22" monitors togeather. Costs ALOT less.
Could actually get a bracket fabricated to hold 3 x 22" monitors for a hell of alot cheaper. Idea. |

This is basically 2 1400x900 panels curved and welded to remove the center bezel, I'd rather do MoonPig's idea.

Hey this is the Alienware monitor!
Also what games support such a res? I would not mind getting the new Philips 21:9 tv, but I think VERY little games support it. |

I think someone ran Crysis on this monitor and demonstrated what it looks like. It worked.

2880 x 900 double WXGA native resolution
RUBBISH resolution. Far better to stick 3x 1600x1200 monitors together, even 3x 1280x1024 is superior. Or, give than everybody is producing 1680x1080 displays now, then 3x 1680x1080. And you could do that for less than $650. Only issue is the screen edges. I guess you pay a premium for a seemless curved display. It looks great though. If it had x1200 in the "y" I would consider it, even at a price. But with the x900 it is completely USELESS for reading text, webpages, PDFs etc. How ON EARTH can they say this is for "home office"? Gamers maybe. But can you imagine using this to read/write business correspondence? LOL. You might be able to show 2 pages across, but only a third of a page down! PS. 2880x900 = 2.6 mega pixel 1600x1200 = 1.9 mega pixel (typical office screen) 1920x1200 = 2.3 mega pixel New samsung 2343 BW 2048x1152 = 2.4 mega pixel Apple Cinema Display 30" (and similar 30" models from other providers) 2560x1600 = 4.1 mega pixels Seems to me that the new samsung screen at just EUR 200/$250 is just as good in terms of pixel count. And a 30" Apple Display or similar totally outclasses it. I guess NEC has tried to keep the display within DVI single link specifications. A dual link solution just maight have been better. lemonade: its 1680x1050 (16:10) and 1920x1080 (16:9) - i've seen you get them confused a few times.

My setup doesn't look as cool as that, but it was a HELL of a lot cheaper! I fabricated the stand myself which cost me a total of like $5 and about 30 hours.
![]() Also, 4640x1050 (pretty much, 19" is 16pixels narrower) resolution. Beats 2880x900 any day.

ultramon is pretty poor. I've heard people say displayfusion PRO is better.
