I played it on a friends PC once. For 10 minutes. It got boring real quick.

How can you possibly judge a game after only 10 minutes of play time?

I haven't played it, but if I recall correctly it got decent reviews.

Because I can That friend also played it only for a few days, and he's all over MMOs usually.

HOWEVER graphics look rather decent, and attack system etc and keyboard commands are easy to adapt.

Those games are boring to me(like WOW), the good thing is there is no fee as stated. I heard it was pretty good tho.

Well, in April of this year, Guild Wars surpassed the 6 Million units sold mark (not sure about active players), so a lot of people have at least tried it.

I like MMOs but I don't have enough free time to devote to playing one.

I played this a fair bit since christmas, (well I've played prophecies a fair bit), the game's pretty good fun and the graphics are fairly nice, I like how you can dip in and out of it with relative ease (no less than 15-20 minutes though as it's not worth playing on it for such a short amount of time).

How much is the weekend deal?

I played EQ for about 3 years and really enjoyed it, but what killed it for me was a) Dial-up connection that constantly dropped. b) Not enough time to join guild raids. c) The horrible level grinding, when soloing, to get anywhere. I thought that PvP would be interesting, but at the time there was so much griefing going on that people were just going back to the PvE servers.

I still have my eye on Eve-Online, though. That one looks awesome.

That seems like a good deal. I would go for it if you like (and have the time to play) MMOs.

Yeah, I heard that it's really hard to start in EO unless you have a little help from an established player. But hey, I am really good at dying in MMOs.

i've got all the guild wars, and i have to say play it if you have friends playing with you then it be more fun playing the game.
playing it on your own with random people isn't as fun as playing with your actual friends

I loved it till you do the 1st part. Overall played it about 100hrs maybe more but what i can say is that you better be a few of you who want and can play together in a team as you will get your ass owned on your own and probably with all the dckheads who play it.

Storys lacking TQIT is a much better game i thought. O yeah it's FREE to play as you said but when i got it they kept releasing x pacs which made me feel like i was paying to play a mmo online although not as bad but still.

If you get it make sure you get friends to back you in it.. As if you try on your own YOUR DEAD.. Which my issue there was time zones and how much you need to play that game.

Enemy's i thought were pretty stupid too but that to is like most others including TQIT.

I know i'll never carry on playing it i got near the end of the origenal and was bored one way or another it had it's times though.

Glad i got it ?.. No really but probably would of sooner or later with my wife playing games online too.

I personally hated it. I bought it and it feels so much like a free MMO game. It's not very open ended, combat is boring, graphics are terrible, classes are boring and generic.. I could go on and on..

I played it for a complete summer with a friend and it is pretty easy at some parts but I found that it is hard to play if you don't have some high lvl partners to help you, or unless you die a lot. I have been thinking of installing it again but I don't ant to waste the space.

I haven't played it in forever, but it was the only mmo I enjoyed for longer than a week...back in 2006 I played a ton of it, enjoyed the first game, the expansions were so-so...I'm not much of an mmo fan anymore tbh...I think got it out of my system with that game. But I did enjoy it, clean graphics, easy interface, a bustling community, I used to have a pretty good time in that game.

I've got 1600hrs of guildwars logged. (yes I was obsessed in highschool)

It's a great game, as long as you dont play by yourself and you actually read about what skill bars to use and the best ways to set your character up. At this point the game is very late in its life span and if you go in there without a clue its not gonna be a pleasant experience. You'll get ripped off and kicked from groups all the time.

the campaigns are large, with lots to do and the best part is PvP, once you get past PvE (can get boring quickly) PvP is endless fun. Guild wars is easily the best MMO pvp game out there.

overall there is lots to do and its a ton of fun and most of all its FREE to PLAY. You can pick it up or drop it whenever you like and always come back.

Personally, I play Guild Wars, have beaten all campaigns and the expansion completely with multiple characters, love to farm the Underworld and the Fissure of Woe, and am in a GREAT guild with great people. My girlfriend, dad, and sister also play and that makes it that much more fun. I just checked and I've played 2,521 hours and 14 minutes. Guild Wars is a great game and if you need a guild when you start playing, message me. The High Chronicles [THCS] (yes, many of the members are stoners) love the game as much as me and are always looking for nice people to join. So, if you ask me, Guild Wars sure as hell is worth the price to buy it.
