Hm I don't know. Crysis you can forget on that machine I assume. However, I expected a price in the 5000s, so 1800$ is a nice suprise.

9800GT SLI? why not put a single GTX260 or 4870?

doubt it. dont forget the memory isnt additive and they're talking 1080P. you'd really need that extra power for the high res.

even if they were 1GB, they lack memory power compared to the more modern cards.

yeah. the 8800GT was designed for 256MB or 512MB of ram - putting more ram on it wont help it all that much. you need a higher bandwidth bus or higher clocked ram to really shine at the higher resolutions.
as great as the 8800GT's were/are for mid and low resolution, they dont handle as well at 1080P and above.

maybe the 9800GT option is because of the low profile case...
