+1 I'm sure there could possibly be. However, Win 7 will be out by then, so they don't have anything to complain about
And I just needed it to last til after school is over. Don't like installing new OS's during school years...

Just had someone message me saying they are using W7 and doesn't have another OS to use for his system.lol

I hope W7 isn't a RAM hog like Vista.

Don't make me reply in the same stern, dull, unenthusiatic manner. I can be incredibly stern when I want to be.

spent 48 hours with no sleep trying to get this OCZ ram working. even at CL6 i was getting BSODs.

it was f*cking netlimiter 3. uninstalled it, no problems since. i now have 24 hours to prepare for a 3 hour drive to a 450 person lan, instead of 72 hours.

As far as I know - It is. ~2000MB on both Seven and Vista, idle.

BTW, no shut down as of yet! Wh000t! I feel like Kramer and the car salesman taking the test car past the E sign on the gas meter! Who is going to hold my hand through this exciting, life-changing endeavor and gain some insight onto life?

its entirely possible some of the newer builds (7077 for example) use the same shutdown date as the RC. since they were unofficially leaked, we don't have solid info on their good-bye dates.

Pixel pitch too small. Too lazy to sit upright on chair. No idea what Netlimiter is.

Why didn't I get invited to this 450-way LAN party?

You need my 40". low res + big screen = can read from a mile.

program that lets you limit speed of individual programs. think firewall, but not just allow/block. allow/block/allow at x KB/s

Wrong country.

Hah! The reason why I bought this thing is for the pixel pitch. Looking at the monitor closely now.. Man! Nothing on earth is more awesome than this. Can you ever forgive me, screeny?

So, I could make uTorrent only utilize 40kbps upload? That will solve my sharing problems! ..as in that I have to share

Can I at least have some pics when you return? I have a close friend who lives in Adelaide.. maybe I would have come.

Just remember to link me, Mussy. Or I shall be very upset!

Btw, before going completely on topic again, have you noticed that I am dangerously close to reaching 1000 posts?! I bet you're jealous. You must be, how could you not?

what i find funny is that the people who consistently complain about Microsoft operating systems are the same people who insist on running the Beta versions!

We're only complaining about it having a prejudiced expiration date. The OS works very well. Better than Vista SP1 in most counts, and it being just a beta.

Beta is the second letter in the Greek Alphabet.(β)

There are may things with the word ''Beta'' in it.

Ya, it means its in its ''Beta'' stage and is almost ready for Alpha(basically the final product) and be shipped out the doors.

EDIT: Actually its the other way around i believe, it goes through Alpha first then goes on to Beta.(which would make sense as we have game Betas all the time)

There stages in the development process basically.

Or they could pronounce it "beated", as in beated by Vista SP2. And in the same amusing fashion, beated isn't even a word.

I had to upgrade my work PC to 7201 today, very smooth but took ages. Just copy the files to a HDD, edit cversions to include your build then run setup from the HDD.
