I'm using wireless N as well it's far better for gaming then G but still not as good as direct connect. I believe all of those work for vista. 3 antennas are always better than one and that Extreme N is probably the best on that list as long as you match it with an equally as good WAN.

THAT'S THE BEST 1

I use to use the Belkin G+MIMO and it was far faster than the N, why, I have no clue as the router was a wireless N. Plus it had further range than the 2 wireless Ns I had. Call me crazy but true.

i CAN SECOND THAT but with a netgear MIMO-g it died a few months ago but it did seem a lot faster it only had a 270mbps(I think this was a PRE draft N model that became N in the end) transfer where as my wireless N is supposed to be 300mbps

Funny thing is, they are $10-$15 cheaper than the Ns at Wal-Mart. it was the USB version. I cant remember what the speeds were on mine. The card just died from me tinkering with it. Tried some extension mods and got mad and killed it lol. I get destructive if hardware dont go my way Oh well Im hooked straight to the router now.

You could get some adapters cheap on the net, I wouldnt go to a retailer anywhere, they mark up prices alot

This is what I'm using:
http://www.hawkingtech.com/products/...=33&ProdID=302

I've found Hawking to produce the best wireless adapters (I've tried Linksys, Netgear, Buffalo, D-Link, Belkin, and several other brands...I have about 10-15 different wireless adapters).

Just my $.02 -

I've been a fan of D-Link hardware for the longest time, and have never had any issues . . . I can't speak from experience, but I've known a couple of buddies who've had problems with Belkin or Linksys, although, Belkin seems to fare almost as well as D-Link . . . I'd recommend staying away from Linksys entirelly.

I'm currently using a D-Link Extreme N PCI adapter, and it has excellent range and pickup, as well as speed. I can pick up the crap-tastic Verizon FiOS router from 20' and through 5 different walls, with 95% signal strength (while another rig closer to the router, using a different adapter maxes out at 30%).

But if you get one from wal mart you can take it back no questions asked as long as you have the receipt original and with in 30 days.

I see, lots of info here. I think I too am leaning towards a D-Link/belkin one. But I still have one question, the D-Link Wireless usb adapter i have seems to have lots of trouble when i play games as it has these freezing up times quite often. Does this happen to all usb adapters? I mean i have pretty much full bars on my connection, and my download speeds are pretty nice as well.

Well it only happened when someone used the microwave or moved the router. But as to just randomly doing it, it was once in a great while.

EDIMAX are quite good. I especially like their small 54g/108g USB dongles that allow you to screw a different antenna in... thats how i roll

I guess the usb adapter i have just sucks or something. Its a D-Link DWA-140 RangeBooster N USB Adapter. Perhaps theres some settings that can make it work better?
