I would love to see more suggestions, discussion, sharing of ideas on reviewing and posting results. I personally would love to see reviewers helping us noobs critique and develop current hardware analysis.
i'd agree with that.

a simple thumbs up/thumbs down system would allow user reviews to be sorted based on popularity, and give good hints as to what user reviewers should be looked at being made into real reviewers.

There's nowt wrong with this forum, sure you'll encounter the occasional spammer (encountered my first one today since I joined), you'll also encounter the occasional pain in the backside who gives misleading advice but they're rare on here! Welcome to the forums and hope you make the best of your time here.

I love this idea. I have seen it done at other forums and it's nice.

The only thing wrong with this forum is it often results in my sexual activities being delayed 30 minutes because I cant drag myself away.

TPU is actually slowing down the advance of STD's as well as fixing computers

I'm not so sure about the slowing of STD's but I know it gives me something productive and funny to read each day.

That's true for everyone who visits but studies show people would rather stay on tpu than do it thus slowing down STD's and lowering cases of rape.

TPU should get a government grant or something like that.

(joking of course )

I see someone has the itchy close thread finger again. So this site is about only good reviews and comments? Any problems members have need to be a secret? Wow wiz dont remember that in the rules. Techpowerup.com home of only positive posts or we will close them.

http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=103679

I posted this because the 4th of sept was my birthday, my father-in-law bought me some patriot memory with a free 3dmark Vantage with it, I picked this out because of the free 3dmark with it, payed shipping, the memory was higher than other memory, but, since its free I should get over it,wow. Guess if the memory didnt work I should get over it also after all I got a free 3d mark? Well I spent 6 hours on their forums and downloading the benchmark only to see my key wont work, Im glad techpowerup feels this way. Im done here. ALLEN

Take you grievances up with Patriot (because they allegedly lured you with a free gift that didn't work), and not Futuremark. Besides that, so long.

allen, what kind of replies would have expected if this thread went on? it seems it would only add drama, not solve your problem. pick up the phone (yes, ancient, but works well), call patriot and talk to them. i agree that closing a thread like this seems a bit harsh in my opinion, too but it is well justifiable. still, thank you very much for bringing this up. and yes this thread is for negative feeedback as well

take a step back, and look at the post. you're telling everyone to avoid futuremark, the #1 video card benchmark - and your post is full of... well, nothing. its a rant, and no more.

the thread was not closed because of anyones comments in the thread - the thread looks like it was closed due to you making a post that would do nothing but aggravate people (which fits the definition of trolling)

So your telling me im a troll because I spent 6 hours on their forum trying to trouble shoot a problem 100s of others are having where they bought the product and warning others of the problem. wow this world is going in circles. asus is the #1 motherboard and if they ran people off and called them scammers becasue someone bought their product and it didnt work, the other side of some of you guys faces would be showing. Im not worried as much about the FREE product not working as I am how many other people on their forums that bought and paid for the product having the same problem as I am. Seems like we can come up with rules and regulations to protect the companys but not the consumer, is that really what your after?

no, i'm telling you that coming onto TPU (who has nothing to do with futuremark) and ranting will get you nowhere.

If all you'd done was state facts and that you got a bad key, your thread wouldnt have got closed - instead you got angry and posted aggressive posts which cant benefit anyone.

I want to see a "How to" section such as
How to-solder-someone recently spent a good amount of time on a very good guide
How to- disable Windows features
How to- mod your HSF
How to-do anything relevant etc...
Several people here have found some very interesting ways of getting around certain issue's it would be nice to see those very nice solutions (that indeed work) POSTED (without warranty) in a very easy to navagate subforum

best to make your own thread for forum suggestions in comments and feedback - a wishlist is hardly "something wrong" with the forums

@allen

I dont mean to step on anyone's toes but im just giving my opinion on the matter.

From looking at your thread, all it dealt with was ranting and it was not accomplishing anything. That thread was total flame bait. Had the mod's let it go on any further that thread really coulda got outta hand very quickly.
