Not getting thread post email alerts

These have stopped for the last couple of days or so, for no apparent reason.

I'm using Yahoo email and still receiving messages from other senders. I've also checked my email address in the control panel and that's correct too. Email alerts are still set for instant notification, too.

I have a feeling that this problem is happening just to me, otherwise people would be shouting about it on here, lol

Try switching it off, saving the setting and switching it back on again, if that's not working check that you've got subscriptions to the threads you want e-mails about. If that's not working then you're SOL and have the same issue I had about a month and a half ago, wait a week and it'll have fixed itself, unless Wizzard was lying and HAD changed something...

Same problem here. Been checking the subscribed threads under user CP until something fixes itself. I am also using Yahoo mail.

its supposed to email you once, until you come back.

So you get an email for the first new post, but you dont get 50 emails for 50 posts. (one email per thread, til you come back)

See Mussels, it's hardly ever worked like that for me. It almost always sends me some number of e-mails when there's a response, sometimes I'll get 5 from one response and sometimes I'll get 8 e-mails when 8 different people have responded, and sometimes it works.

I use Windows live mail for notifications as I'm on MSN a fair amount of time (through Pidgin so I could set up GMail to do the same I know), I've got a gmail address for important stuff (like correspondence with cadets parents about a dinner I've helped organise, it's not been given to anyone else yet.) I'll give that a go though and use one gmail for spammy types of e-mails (notifications from here and the ones on Facebook).

Indeed. I saw post from W1zz (can't find it now) saying that TPU's IP address has been blacklisted by Yahoo in error and he's trying to get it sorted.

If it's not sorted within the next few days, then I will indeed start using a different email provider just for TPU.

Your web page states "please fill out this form so that we can help you diagnose your problem".

So far there has been zero help from you to diagnose why you aren't accepting our mails.

I checked the rules http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...master-15.html and we are following all of them, please advise.

Dear Rafael,

following a list of YOUR customers who are subscribed with US. They are not receiving their mails anymore so they will go to Gmail or MSN and YOUR stock price will go down eventually and you WILL lose your job.

If you had looked into your records instead of replying with automatic text pieces to us you would know that we JUST CHANGED IPs of the sending servers. YES - YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTING ALL OUR MAIL BEFORE.

Yahoo's response was the standard pathetic boilerplate zero-help response we see from so many companies nowadays. I'll add the TPU address to the exceptions and see if it helps and I'll let you know. Otherwise, it's time to switch.
