and why does it have to be gigabyte? asus and DFI make some awesome 775 boards, some at comparable prices (my DFI x48 cost less than an asus P45, for example)

EP45-UD3R IMO. Good on the budget and an awesome clocker. Will run any s775 proc you throw at it.
