I agree with the mailman. The Wii stomped all over the 360 and PS3. Why - because it brought "gaming" to the MASSES. The other two relied on serious gamers wanting lots of graphics and not much else. The Wii gives your mum and dad the urge to go play a game, with lots of FUN instead of "OMGZ I GOTZ 2 FINISH TEH LVL LOLO LOLOLOL"

Probably because they played them to hell and back for the first month, instead of just light casual gaming... which imo the Wii is built for. It's for a bit of FUN every now and then, break it out at a party, whatever.

$200 is a damn good price.

The current retail price is £199 in the UK, although many retailers still sell it for £179.

other than console specific games like GT5, there is no real reason for a PC owner to have a 360 or PS3. Hell, I could build a system that eats the PS3 for lunch for less than it came out for launch. PS3 is a good idea for me now though, because of blu-ray capabilities and the $300 price tag. the 360 still has nothing to offer though, other than the best online console gaming.

I have my 360 for sports games, but then again this thread is about the wii

I played Wii Sports, Zelda, Metroid, and Super Paper Mario when the Wii came out I didn’t buy another game till Warioland Shake It came out then beat it in 3 days. Haven’t touched the Wii since. Honestly, the Wii was an awesome novelty when it came out but it really was a waste of money.

Till 2001 I was only really into console games...then I played DAoC on the PC. Console games were officially ruined for me from that point on.

Now, I still will keep my PS3 because some games (though they look better on the PC) are really meant to be played on consoles.

over the past few weeks i've gained some massive respect for Wii

MadWorld stole my heart i love this game

House of the dead overkill is great fun with friends

Of course mario kart is always fun.

I use my wii for mainly emulation and old school gaming, but once in a while they release some decent Gems for the system.

About the PS3 and 360, i bought a PS3 soley for exclusives and Blu-Ray,

i bought my 360 for Online gaming with friends,

But latley i've been playing the Shit out of MGS Online, more than even ODST.

I got a ps3 for 2007 X-mas, I honestly only played a few games than it got boring so I folding 24/7. To bad it died 6/7 months later.I used PC's all my life they just work better for me they never get boring compared to consoles.

I honestly would get the Wii just to hack it play some games for a few days than sell it Unless somehow they get it to fold (Which I don't see happening)

People buy consoles for the games, no one cares if they have hardware back in the the early 2000's, as long as the games are good.
