after Shipping&handling and tax, from the egg it costs ~110$... I guess buying used would be a pretty good thing if he's comfortable with that though

Well i dont really have patience to wait for stuff, so thats y im not shopping online and just pikcing up, im trying to go as cheap as i can but still be a decent system. Now if i decide not to go i5, im deff getting this q9550 http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0299412

Going this way i dont want to spend more then 350 on the chip and the board so whats a good OC board for about 150 doesnt have to be from that site, just need to know which is good for that price
I will deff get one setup or the other, Comes down to how much i could sell my board, cpu and ram for lol after ive bought one or the other setups lol

Thanks again

Go i5 for sure... I think the i5 setup you posted now is pretty good. BUT get what Fit suggested, it's the same price anyways http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0317216

Absolutely go i5, it's the fastest non-i7 chip there is. Also, LGA775 has no upgrade path, whereas LGA1156 does. Here are some reviews of the i5 that back up what I am saying:

I don’t know anything about that MSI board. A guy I work with only buys MSI, swears by it. I typically purchase gigabyte, asus, or evga for clients. Can’t go wrong with that asus board.

Well they said there supplier is backordered on msi p55 boards and doesnt know when they will be in, so that out of the question. Unless i sell my current board, ram and cpu ill have to settle for something a little cheaper i guess. Put them for sale for 200 for all three.

Well its looking like this is what ill be getting, ordered 5mins ago http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_I...0Lm&templete=2 and some ramsinks for mosfets. All straight trade for my board, cpu, ram. its all they had or would trade evenly lol. they said they dont deal with GB anymore because their customer service is bad.
