it's probably not .. simply forgot to turn it off there. but gn.net has much less traffic so the chances of this happening are lower as well .. so far there hasn't been a single replied to notification sent to my inbox

Look on the bright side. When some asks, "What's new?", you will honestly be able to say, "Everything!"

I'm new here, but I think the moderators here are nice! I just left from two other mega-forums (first [H]Forums and then XS Forums--although I think [H] is quite cool after I've given it quite a vacation). TPU seems awesome man. The moderators are just damn cool with giving people space here. They do not act like police at all, nor do we need to see them as police either. They talk here, they are friendly here in doing so, and all that.

I mean, a few of the negative people against the moderators need to start voicing it out here and let's see if the moderators are level-headed with it. If some of the people are being negative, let's hear them out and see if they are just being negative.

Negativity is such a low power. It's also a dark power. But alone, it has nearly nothing. So it must be a great, big number--at least a great, big majority.

I still also think XS is cool, and understand that they just wanted to kill off at least half of the news forum during a certain phase. At least they let me be active on pretty much the rest of the forums, but that's only my small, tiny individual perspective from a tiny life of the entire universe during a single time.

Regards

is there a way of making it so that those who register to TPU are automatically registered to General Nonsense by any chance?

I think it's quite difficult that's why it's not done either that or there's no point.

On the other hand it's not very difficult to register at generalnonsense.net.

Register on the site
Go to your email
Tick the link back to gn.net
You're registered!

Tick the box to remember your login credentials and you can seemlessly move from this site to that using the links on either site.

The problem is that if a spammer registers here, they auto-register there also.
It's the same reason that there was no auto-register for GPU.
Even with out auto-register we were fighting hundreds of spammers a day on GPU.
There is a way it could be done, but it is more trouble than it is worth, given that it only takes about 2 minutes to reregister on the new site.

We don't want that. No auto-register keeps out the riff-raff. GN is for seriously nonsensical people only.

It was a very valid question, and the same one I asked W1zz about when I was modding on GPU, trying to get more people to visit the site from TPU.

He said, "No !@#$ way, it would !@#$ be a @#@#$ cluster !@# for a bunch of !@#".
(Just kidding , he just said it would create a lot of security problems)
