Possible New Mod - Dollhouse Case

Mates,

So my wife and I are having a wee little one. I believe that it is a girl (will find out in Dec and before this project begins). I was thinking of building a PC out of a dollhouse for her. I have the entire disney movie collection (i am a huge disney freakshow) and i would like to have all of these movies on her PC as well as some tv shows and other crap that she is going to like.

So the idea was to make a wooden dollhouse or buy a wooden dollhouse. Use LED lighting for all of the windows. make the garage door be the blu-ray drive bay, The mailbox be the power switch and if at all possible, point the cpu fan or PSU fan through a chimney and blow it upwards kind of like giving off heat like a real fireplace.

those are just a few ideas i had for this case.

Any new thoughts? any ideas at all would help greatly.

thanks in advance

-cheers

Don't you think you start a bit early? The idea is neat tho, I'd be interested to see how this turns out. In fact, you just gave me an idea (I'm not gonna steal yours, chill ).

On the other hand she might turn out a tomboy who wants a GI Joe computer or whatever kids are into these days...

Seriously though, we're all into weird mods around here. So go for it. You could stick Barbie out front, pull her head off, stick a pot in there and twist her head as a fan controller.

thanks, yeah my last project was in a 1942 philco wood radio. I have experience with woodworking and pc building. i was thinking wood over plastic for this.....if barbie lost her dream home i think my daughter would be devastated.

if it was a boy, i was thinking a Disney case. My wife and I are disney lovers and my son will love mickey, even if i have to drill it into his head by placing mickey mouse theme songs in his radio next to his crib everynight

Wood is good. I've been hankering to do a retro Radio Case mod or something along the lines. Any link to your Philco Mod?
