Corsair H50 Cpu Cooler Mounting??

will the corsair h50 cpu cooler work if i mounted it at the top of a case?

Out side the case or inside the case? Vertical or horizontal? More detail please...

YOU could mount it anywhere and have no problems, it uses a pump to move the fluid after all.
