All X8**s in bios collection not cd bootable?

I've have tried many times and wasted dozens of cd's trying to make a bootable cd. The bootable cd I am trying to make is two files from the internet -a video card bios file and a flashing utility. I tell nero to burn the files does'nt work. I tell it to make a bootable cd but that does'nt work either. I also tried making the files into an iso then burning "does'nt work". I tried telling nero burn iso image to disc still not working. Also tell it burn image and make bootable disk won't work lol. Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated thanks. I think my problem is that the files "are not" boot files. They are the modified flashrom for flashing x800 bioses and im using an x800 xt pe bios that is not in a bootable cd iso format. All of the x8** bioses that I see in the tp bios collection do not have the advanced download option, that allows someone to get a bootable cd image of the bios. The only cd iso image bios I see is the 16p pro vivo modified one in the article X800/X850 Pro VIVO to XT PE Bios Mod on the right side of the tp home page. So this is the only one available for booting from cd?

I looked at every single card's bios in that series x*** and there is not one advanced option to download any of them with bootable cd iso except for the x600, x1600, x550, and sapphire x800pro vivo. The card I have is x800pro vivo 1.6ns. I've already flashed it with the modified pro 16p bios 2 years ago with a floppy drive, I don't have a floppy drive anymore. The card does 530max core 540 max memory and I run it at 513/540. With my arctic silencer on the way I want to flash and try out the x800xt-pe bios that has more relaxed timings on the ram.

Voltmod it as soon as you get AS. There is NO bootable BIOSes in the collection. Somebody creates those bootable flash tools (including me). Here you are a download link with some Automated Flash Utilities on Bootable CD image: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/332 also one for X800PRO VIVO AGP with 4 flash options - X800PRO 16pipes, X800XT, X800XT PE and X800PRO 12pipes.

My advice is to start with modification of just one memory timing on your 1.6ns Samsung. This is the TRP - increase it with 1 or 2 and test (all that without Vmod). With Vmode the timings correction wouldn't be necessary.

Hey Dolf thank you very, very, very, much! hehe Just a few questions are the bioses in this image just a x800 pro bios with only mhz changed? Also if the x800xt-pe bios in the image is the official real one with device id 4a50 is it the popular one that allows higher memory overclock dated 6/9/04 Jun 9th 2004? If I change a memory timing how do I save it to the bios? I've used rabit but did'nt see an option to change memory timing. Is one way to do it by changing memory timing with ati tool then dump bios? I am aware that if I could save a new memory timing to the bios I maybe have to use a floppy. Sorry for so many questions. Thanks again

"official real one with device id 4a50" ??? All the BIOSes are from the BIOS collection and/or from my cards. Usually I am using the newest BIOSes in the collection. You should read the Flash Instructions file about the BIOS dates . I sold my X800XT and just don't remember which exactly BIOS was the best overclocker. On the X850XT PE it is the BIOS with slight modification in the (memory timings) from HIS and it is included.

There is options to change the memory timings in RaBit. Look carefully .

Ok thank you very much. I just noticed the drop down box for the memory in rabit. I wont use it though because then I would be back to using the floppy for having a modded bios not setup for cd boot. I'm glad to see the x800xt-pe on there is a sapphire that is the brand my card was originally. Thanks again!
