Double Sided Thermal Sticky Tape - where to find?
I've ordered watercooling gear for my XFX 5870, and want to make sure I can get the stock cooler back on when I need to. When I took the cooler off to measure things, some of the thermal tape stuck to the card, some stuck to the cooler, a strip was in half.
It's double sided tape as shown in W1zzards review, a pic here: ![]() Looking for the same color/type. Any reccomendations?

I remember looking back when a buddy stripped his off his 1950XTX before he knew they were hard to get ahold of. I was able then to find some versions on ebay. At least you have the terminology from the other link to search it by

Go on kustom pc or specialtech and search for thermal pads or tape, they do both for cheap.
Pads ar better. I got 1mm thick ones.

Looks like good stuff, but too thin - I'm looking for thicker pads that bridge the gap to memory, Mosfets, VRMs, etc. (See the pic above).

As for thermal adhesive tapes, i just use Tesa dual side tape that can withstand up to 200°C.
Holds like crazy and conducts heat nicely. Thermal pads are another thing and they are usually hard to come by. At least here in my country. Scythe has them though, so check that out.

These will work great, just the right width, 1mm thick and 90 long, you'll need a couple probably.

Arctic Cooling has 'em, at a good price, but shipping is a little up there. Anywhere from 1.0 mm to 2.8mm in thickness. Just in case you want thicker. Maybe some company that sells AC products carries them.
I ordered some parts from them a while ago and I got some other stuff, too. Shipping was like 14 dollars. I got the pad replacement already cut for the Accelero Xtreme 4870X2.
