I realize that I can come off harsh towards some members at times, but I assure you all it's never done out of anger or annoyance. Most of the time in those instances I may be busy so I just get to the point. I can confidently aknowledge that I'm not the same moderator I was when I initally started moderating. We all need critizism, and any input anyone can give me is always appreciated.

TBH, I have seen plenty people that put "upcoming" sales... I didn't know it was against the rules Guess I know now...

That sounds like a horrible fapping experience. World won't even leave you alone long enough to do your business. Instead it sends its avian minions to pester you while it fecks around with the master contrast. a larger community sometimes brings less enjoyable members, as I see it now, TPU has awesome members, but there is medium level activity and low when not during popular times.

I prefer quality over quantity though

Hey, I wanna flatter you W1zzard for making this great thread.. it shows how you care about the community and the integrity of the forums before anything else. Although erocker and mussels could have done a million times better in that 5870 thread, I just got a PM from a guy saying that erocker and mussels are his two favorite mods that he has ever dealt with in his life. People just did not receive me very well in that thread, but that's probably 50% because of the fact that I did not have a HD5k series card, so maybe it was just "humorous" for them to continually give me a hard time about the topic.

Now @ TheMailMan78, what humor should I think of? Anointing your brilinear rod instead of fapping it so that it becomes more truly trilinear? Hahahhaha

this has derailed the thread and gotten it closed a little while ago, if you have a problem with steevo and you already reported him, then wait a while, if nothing happens its probably because the mods probably looked at it and thought it wasn't worth enforcing, but most people looking at this are only going to see someone picking a fight and raising trying to raise invisible bansticks because they don't like it when people make them look wrong or get in a little skirmish, its a forum, this always happens . . . . . . .

Things get reported, mods take a look at it and deal with it as neccesary. We dont report back on what was done and why, unless we feel it was a necessary part of the solution.

As a general statement: reporting someone for doing something you dont like, is the right step.

Acting like a child, reporting every post they make, PM'ing multiple people/mods, and posting in various threads about it is likely to cause MORE of a problem, than the original post you didnt like.

In bo fox's case, the post he reported was actually not a problem one at all - steevo informed him he'd broken a rule. That swung the scales from "user reporting a problem" to "someone having a childish tantrum", in my opinion.

You know that Steevo made many posts in that threat with totally out-of-whack intentions. Reporting a few of his posts were done for your convenience so you would not have to look for them in that huge thread.

I'd just like to know if I have permission to continue the inquiry into the 5870 image quality by opening a new thread, or to otherwise be banned from the Graphics Card section. @ erocker and mussels, please spare me a little faith, rather than try to make it impossible for the community to gain more respect from ATI with an option for Full Trilinear filtering (at least if somebody can confirm and provide comparison screenshots of simple textures in Mass Effect for example). No need to take it so personally against me, man.

Can we wait until W1zzard's response, please? I really hope that we can all just lighten up and become more friendly, dudes! Its not what you're doing (exposing driver issues, starting discussions, etc) its the how. There is a fine line that you cross, and its difficult to explain precisely what you're doing wrong.

For example, its very difficult to trust someone who speaks of the gospel of 5xx0 cards having AF issues, when you dont have one, and havent done your own testing. No one has reason to trust that, since we dont know the details behind the second hand images you're using. When you get righteous and defensive over it, it makes you APPEAR like you are trolling - no legitimate basis behind your statements, yet you argue it zealously.

I asked you a few times to stop and leave me alone. If I open a new thread, could you give me some peace and let me attain some success in resolving the issue for the sake of all of you guys. Ever since the alienbabeltech site pointed it out, I really wanted to find out before buying a 5870 card. A few people were starting to help me out and there are more who are interested. Why try so hard to destroy all of my efforts, man?

Ok, I'll try harder to be as neutral as possible in responding to his "questions" or remarks. I do not mean to point the obvious, but maybe 80% of his posts directed at me were insincere and only meant to disrupt the progress or to try to tick me off, or to spam, or to break as many rules as possible to show off his "immunity"?

Yeah i get that from time to time as i go on hours that are say now mid arvo Aussie time is morning or late night in Europe Us wich equals very quiet. Picks up though if i stay on long enough.

@ troyrae360, take a look at the AF image in that same [H]ardOCP article. It's natural for many reviewers to exclaim the new AF method without investigating it thoroughly (specificially the trilinear filtering quality).

Could you please just understand (or admit) that it has been Steevo's intention to retaliate with me ever since? ive had a few post which have gotten me fired up but then i just walk away from the lappy and let myself calm down no use getting an infraction over it. Press the report button and let the mods handle it. Please dont go on here complaining about it non stop and then knocking this place. And dont say about your hardware as my lappy is lame as but i havnt had any run ins with ppl in regards to it.

I just want to be banned from the Graphics Card section forever because I do not want to stumble across that section again. And dont worry, it's not my nature to criticize people's hardware just for the sake of self-aggrandizement, if you read my posts. People here just misunderstand me because of cynicism.
