I love syncmasters! I tried like hell to find one im my country when I was in need of an lcd, they only had 17-19" (vga, not even dvi) in stock. I get another brand (22" / hdmi) and a couple of weeks later, they have it! I always shed a tear when I see a syncmaster

SyncMasters are great! Does that price include the female in the pic to bring it to you?

Now those there sound like IPS pannels right there interesting to say the least
Also with that kind of contrast ratio it may just be the long awaited combo of IPS or PVA pannel with LED lighting.

Edit:
Confirmed on both accounts. That there's what I've been dreaming for a year now but friggin hell that's expensive...

I like so want one... even with that price... I was hanging on to my 21" CRT untill something like this came along but this sure is expensive.

Edit:

With the exception of two news sites I see the panels listed for $352 and $370, respectively!
In that price range they're going to be best sellers if true, this sounds like a bargain for IPS+LED.. I just hope they don't have any deal breaking quirks like a big input lag.

Color critical professionals would only want IPS but Samsung is like an inventor of PVA. So are these IPS or not? In any case 'Full HD' marketing bs irks me, it's pure marketing to make it sound good when in reality it's less screen than x1200. Too bad, I might have been interested otherwise.

LOL. 640€ ?????? That's a joke right?! Yeah must be a joke, but it's not funny!

I mean, there are a lot of monitors out there with 23" at around 150€, with superb quality, what do I need a more than 4 time expensive monitor?!

They are cPVA. They use the same panel with the same specs as f2380 and f2380m.

And apparently by the reviews it still has the typical PVA horizontal color/contrast shift issue. For monitors priced in between TN and IPS that might be an acceptable tradeoff but not for something that costs more than IPS panels.

Actually f2380/m cost as much as a high-end TN monitor. It's a way less than an IPS monitor.

I'm having troubles seeing how this can cater to a professional when they are cPVA and 1920x1080.

And when comparing the cPVA Samsung F2380 to the eIPS Dell 2209WA I don't have much hope for cPVA panels for 'professionals' on a budget. See http://www.erodov.com/forums/cpva-coming/22582.html

Granted, the prices are MUCH higher on these than the F2380 but I'm still not certain they can make the cPVA panel look THAT much better. Though I may be wrong.

Maybe for you, but not for anyone that like proper color accuracy. Your samsung is Tn-Film, and looks like ass compared to an IPS or PVA panel. You have higher resolution, but at a lower picture quality. I'll take the quality over the resolution, tyvm.

TV's don't accept 120HZ input. They upconvert 24 and 60Hz to 120Hz to prevent the subtle stutter in motion you get from 24Hz input on LCD TVs, which, prior to the release of 120Hz, only output at 60Hz. These 120Hz TVs only accept 60Hz inputs.
