So this dosent turn into a who has the bigger wit contest, cause ill surely win, ill try to explain myself one final time so hopefully people will put aside stupid thoughts and understand.

I grew up in a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, dual living room, full kitchen/dining, band room, pretty house with a nice little real fireplace. January 1st a year ago they took that house from my parents due to stupidity. 10 years in a single house is a long time for most familys these days and is enough time to get everything pretty much exactly how you want it.

Im building this box and hopefully will turn it into a sizeable home over the years so eventually when i get to that point "the man" cant take my home from under me because of a simple mistake or losing of a job.

Anybody who has a family or remember the place they grew up in should understand the difference between a home and a house. A home is a place of comfort, that feeling of security. A house is a place you simply reside in. A nice place to stay or more like a hotel type of feeling. Your paying for it, but cant really do much and dont feel at "home".

Since this place will be my home and i know it cant be taken from under me ill have that security. Plus ill get to build that awesome PC room every guy besides cyberdruid wants on these forums. The extra 300-900 dollars a month im NOT spending on a house payment goes to my pc when were done =)

If you cant understand what im saying by this then please dont comment on our box anymore and just think your living in a better situation. Because long term, your really not.

i beleive their situation can be simplified: They've lowered their living standards short/mid term, in order to save up money for a better life long term.

Makes more sense to me than spending all your income as you get it, living somewhat comfortably but with zero savings (which is kinda how i live my life, and it bites me in the arse a lot)
