Don't Buy Global Agenda - Editorial
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/...enda_editorial
"Do not buy its games. Pass along that message! Post it on forums. Post it in blogs. Put it on Facebook. Totally bitch out and Tweet it. But for god's sake don't buy games from companies that try to stifle your gaming experience." Here I am doing it, and now guys worth a read |

Agreed -- any company that will gimp a gamers setup just because it's an "unfair advantage" doesn't need our hard earned cash. It's simply a wider angle of view - you spend the cash, you should be able to take full advantage of what you pay for. It's not some custom modded mouse that lets you fire 20x faster than the other people, it's a retail product. Anyone can buy it and use it.

Thats absolutley ridiculous...
The bottom line is, I bet that they didnt bother implementing into the game because they're just inferior! |

It seems likely they'll sell more copies thanks to this publicity. I never would have heard of it if not for the link to the article. I'm not going to buy it but others might, despite what the article says.
Anyway, not a big deal to me. Like roast said, they probably just didn't implement it to cut costs and time. And if not, I'd even go so far as to say that to some degree, they have a point. Variance in the systems of online gamers may always exist, but limiting it to some degree might make the playing field a little more reasonably even. This touches on another topic being discussed here at TPU. I won't defend them, just saying ... it's not entirely without its merits. |

dude with "wide" display want to see more horizontally.
dude with "tall" display want to see more vertically. dude with square display want to see more than everyone. So what the frak are the developers supposed to do?

For those who do buy it without researching, they will have already payed for it by the time they get pissed at the limitations.
(Should be few and far between if they even have a successful setup that does end up getting limited)Kudos to them for finding this slick way for marketing their product.

Couldn't agree with you more in this sense.
Not every game is open for players to adjust and change FOV and other things for the most part. And simply because they disallow say, changing of FOV to larger/wider angles, does NOT mean it's a horrible game. My proof is in the pudding. Heroes Of Newerth has non-adjustable FOV, and is what I like to think a superb game. Sure in the beginning I was like wtf, why can't I zoom out..But I got used to it. And never having played many RTS games before it, such as DOTA which it is mostly based off of, I have to say that I loved that game. I just don't think the review should be jumping down their throat here. Sorry, but game developers kinda have final say in how they want their product to be. In this instance, they wanted to only have one FOV for everyone regardless of system, simply don't buy it then if you don't want to. I'm sure this review will not deter those away from it who want to purchase it, and will likely as others have said stir up more buzz and publicity to make others want to buy it just to see what the fuss is about. |

LOL, find this shit funny more than any thing. Although If a game does not support some thing i need it too i will not buy it anyways. For a example BS2 dieing to play it but till they add widescreen i will not and the longer they take with that the cheaper the game will be for me so it's just win win to me lol.
The idea of that game i thought was cool but looked like crap and to be honest the only reason i liked BS1 was due to story as the game engine imo sucks.. |

If the game is competitive online, and relies on FOV it is their very right to make sure that it is fair for all players. If that means dropping multidisplay support that is their choice. People that are obsessed with eyefinity need to pick out the games with that support. I would like Physx and Havok support for all games but I don't whine and bitch to the world if a game doesn't decide to. Last edited by DaedalusHelios; Feb 12, 2010 at 08:21 PM. |

Maybe I'm taking his complaint too seriously but thousands of people die each day from lack of food whilst others are tortured for their political views and he's pissed because he can't play with 3 computer screens at once?
I mean, how spoilt have we become, we are asked to blog, twitter, facebook etc to right this great injustice perpertrated against owners of 3 screens! If he took a deep breath in, thought for 10 seconds about it, he might go, hmm, new developer trying something new in the online shooter scene, doesn't support every resolution I want, oh well. If he wants to rail the community into action, why not do it about something worthwhile. Other wise, just chill out, and lets see how the game pans out. After all, 3 screen support can always be patched in latter. Tye

Unreal 3 engine = fail..
Pretty sure that engine has no AA. The game already looks dated to me and the play seems just strange.. Aiming even looks awkward. I'd pass just because it looks like it sucks. Also it's trying to be like eve with the whole dominate the world type thing. I played eve, and IMO that worked out bad. Mostly , I think the guy who spoke on that review video was a tool...lol |

I don't get the rage. If you don't like it don't buy it, and if a person actually uses EyeFinity, he or she will most probably check first if a game he or she is about to buy actually supports it. Average Joe probably doesn't even know about that "iFinity? Is that an iPhone App hurr hurr".
The game looks crappy anyway.

Never played it..
But from the screen shots, it looks dated as well. The faces lack definition. The textures are sharp and plain. AA is non existent. everything square.. looks square.. I'd never buy it. Unless I went back in time like 5 years. To each their own though. Enjoy what you enjoy.
