Help ASAP. Need a good software that clones hard drive including partitions..

I downloaded Norton Ghost to use the 30 day free trial to clone my HD, BUT it does not copy the entire disk. And only allows you to clone 1 parttion at a time?

I need a software that allows me to clone a hard drive that has 2 partitions and allows me to use that HD to boot. After getting rid of the old drive.

Okay, found it. EASEUS Todo Backup.

Does exactly what I needed it to do. "Clone Disk" makes exactly copies of one drive to the next.

Wow, big failure. It cloned the partition but failed to clone the boot sector. When trying to boot, it says "no hd detected".

I'm starting all over with CloneZilla.

I have use 2 programs that do exactly what you want. I'm sure they're others, but the two that have worked for me are CopyWipe and Norton Ghost. (site seems to be down/slow) CopyWipe is free and I've used it many times to copy one disk to another. After the copy, everything works, 0 issues.

Edit: I don't know what version of Ghost you used, but the version I used was built into BartPE and it definately let me copy one drive to another.

I had norton ghost, but it didn't allow me to clone the entire hard drive, just the drive. meaning: Drive C: and Drive D:.

I had a program before but don't remember which one it was. I did it for my laptop when I upgraded to a larger drive.

CopyWipe seems to be a good one. Thanks. I'll try that if CloneZilla fails.

Since you're using a WD hard drive, you might as well try the one they're offering for free:

There it is. Acronis true Image. That's the one I used for my laptop.

Anyways, CLONEZILLA worked fine!
