Lenovo Unveils New Full-HD Capable Monitors
Lenovo unveiled three new monitors with full HD resolutions, one of which is multi-touch capable. The series includes the L2261 Wide, L2361p Wide, and L2461x Wide Multi-Touch (pictured in the same order). The lineup starts with L2261 Wide, a 21.5 inch display with a native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, and brightness of 250 cd/sq m. The monitor features a dash of aesthetics with a metallic stand that lets it swivel. It takes input from D-Sub and DVI.
Next up is the L2361p Wide with its 23 inch screen, the same 250 cd/sq m, and 1920x1080 resolution, and a pad stand. It has some accessories such as integrated 3W stereo speakers and mic, 0.3 MP web-camera, and a 3-port USB hub. Lastly, there's the L2461x Wide with a similar form-factor as the L2361p Wide, but a 23.6 inch screen with multi-touch capabilities. This one also sports stereo speakers with mic, a 4-port USB hub, and 2.0 MP web-camera. It takes input from HDMI 1.3, DVI, and D-Sub. This display is priced at $550. The others are yet to be listed. ![]() Source: Thinkpads |

Why is it important to mention they're Full HD? Just saying their 1920x1080 would be sufficient?

because their are different resolutions that are considered HD such as 1280x720 or 1360x768 just to name a few. Full HD is often used to explain the maximum HD resolution available on mainstream commercial monitors being 1920x1080

full HD is the marketing term for 1920x1080 - it makes more sense to consumers, who have no idea wtf a resolution even is.

)![]() ![]() ![]() Ex: Resolution is the metrical phenomenon in classical poetry of replacing a longum with two brevia. It is generally found in Greek lyric poetry and in Greek and Roman drama, most frequently in comedy. Resolution in western tonal music theory is the move of a note or chord from dissonance (an unstable sound) to a consonance (a more final or stable sounding one). A resolution is a written motion adopted by a deliberative body. The substance of the resolution can be anything that can normally be proposed as a motion. In mathematical logic and automated theorem proving, resolution is a rule of inference leading to a refutation theorem-proving technique for sentences in propositional logic and first-order logic. In other words, iteratively applying the resolution rule in a suitable way allows for telling whether a propositional formula is satisfiable and for proving that a first-order formula is unsatisfiable; this method may prove the satisfiability of a first-order satisfiable formula, but not always, as it is the case for all methods for first-order logic. Well I can understand your customers for the confusion, hehe! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

but by saying it's 1920x1080 that already implies it's FULL HD. most people should know what a resolution is though ![]()

I mean I can understand some of the confusion, since a lot of old TVs were sold as HD, even if they supported only 1280x720 resolution. The confusion is further supported by the TV station who emit 720p or worst, 1080i, and they keep telling stupid people that the broadcasting is in full HD, or HD anyways...
