I want to know if this power supply is good

hey guy today I'm buying my components for my new rig and I was going to buy a power supply at newegg but it's no avaliable for now but I want to buy this one http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/expired-deals/938610 what do you guys think about it

personaly i would get a Seasonic or Corsair.. i have never herd of that brand before.

whats your budget on the psu?

also what pc specs are you going to connect it to?

raidmax aint bad, ive used them a time or 2, would put them square in the midrange of PSU's.

Raidmax is garbage, plain and simple.

I'm sure the allure of something that cheap is tough to fight, but I recommend you save your hard earned money for a better brand PSU.

Most anything from Seasonic, Corsair, Enermax, Antec, Silverstone, and even the newer BFG, OCZ, and XFX units.

Don't even touch that psu



See they've combined the 3.3 and 5 rails with the 12v rails to come up with the rating.

That means the PSU is over rated and is probably only 350 w or something horrible.

my budget for the psu is 60 bucks and it's going to be connected with a Biostar TA790GX A3 motherboard

If you need a smaller psu like a 500W with some punch then i recommend a enermax liberty 500AWT. its modular and has the power to run a higher end machine.

ive had good luck with antec too. general consensus antec is preferred. the earthwatts is a good line. i have seen a earthwatts come DOA but im sure its a very rare occurrence.
