If it is a simply typo, you all are way out of line.
If he did use those drivers, the information is still worth its weight (as basic math isn't out of my realm of figuring logic). Saying its worthless in any way is over the top in any case, and thats where I leave this thread.

That doesnt even account for the time and dedication it takes to give you a review on time for release, and keep a site up giving you a place and the freedom to slam him and his views
btarunr edits the bosses work so
maybe the ofending views need censoring and the thread closing

This sucks for all of us. I was really hoping Nvidia would come to win this time. Instead we got a 2900XT.

Also W1zz just upgraded his review stats/drivers a few months ago. Do you guys have ANY idea how long it takes to run all those tests correctly? If he re-reviewed everytime a new driver came out we would never see a new review! I swear you guys are like clockwork. You bitch about the same things EVERY TIME we get a new GPU review.

If you guys want 10.3a results just take the numbers W1zz posted and add 15%. BAM you have your FPS.

This is an "important" review, it should of been done right.

What about people that don't know about that?

More then just us who read the reviews.

Its incredibly misleading if Wiz has not made a typo and did infact use 9.12.

Especially since they offer so much improvement.

He used 9.12. And in all fairness its only a 15% with 10.3a difference vs Nvidias immature drivers. Seems about fair.

We know, the new baby is strong...

I can not justify all the consumption and heat produced by such a graphics card. it seems that ATI has succeeded in the goal.

I am interested in the dual-GPU version, in my opinion, the project has not even been thought of.

59 degress idle, and 90 -100 degrees full load... simply unacceptable

I think the delay is caused by despair of the engineers find a proper heat dissipation. And have failed miserably.

Here some reviews where 10.3a preview drivers have been used

The GTX performs somewhere between 10%-15% better than a 5870 ....

The only thing that nVidia can boast about is that they have the fastest GPU on earth now ...

could have been better ... but I wont say its an utter failure ...

EDIT: Average load temp readings from all the above sites is around 95C .... so please make sure that you'll dont play games during summer

Not at all, that 15% would of made the 5870 pretty much tickle the 480s balls it would of been so close.

Check other reviews to see

That makes a massive difference in results.

Remember nv have had 6 months extra to sort things out, immature drivers are no excuse.

You could use plasma tv instead to get a even greater power consumption....

There is NOTHING wrong with the review...This card is just sometimes "marginally" edging ATI, and with out of date drivers v s. immature ones. .Not impressive...It definitely not as impressive as the jump from the 7 series to the 8 series that's for sure.

No one is discussing that, i do reviews along time ago too, and i know how much do you put on that time, effort, hours without slipping and stuff like that.

There are many much betters reviews on the web, like anandtech for an example.

Nice review Wizz.
Too bad about the drivers but it's ugly enough for the GTX 480.

Yes ATI cards support 3D, just ati does not make the software to support 3d, just a case of downloading it from somewhere else : ]

Thank you Wiz for silencing the myths. It's too bad Nvidia's putting out such a hot card. I really wanted a 470 but think I'll wait for a dual GPU card before I consider buying an upgrade.

Nvidia has had how many months of delays to optimize driers? Stop pole smoking your favorite green candy stick and face it, ATI wins, and wins big.

I don't know if it's just me, but an 8.2 score seemed high after reading the article and benches. I love the review comments.

A waste of good silicon. When they get the fabs right, clocks up, temps down, perhaps it will impress.

A dual GPU card with this GPU would probably burn down the entirety of Lawrence.

Not only do these cards take way too much power themselves, but will cause even more of a drain when people have to turn up the AC so they can stay in the same room.
