i know that. thats basic knowlage

but i also know that CF wont scale up 100% so if a 5830 can help or a low price 5750 would just do fine...

so i am not sure since i have not tried a CF with the latest ATI cat and drivers and the all new profile.

only users who have this setup can answer my question

and my aim is to get a better setup than a 5870.

in my country 5870 is costing Rs.26,000 ($564) and a 5770 is only 9,000 and a 5850 costs 17,000.

so now tell me

A second 5770 would put performance above a 5870. Adding a 5750 will put you under or right at 5870 performance. You can only crossfire cards in the same series. ie..58xx with 58xx and 57xx with 57xx

Keep that overclock and you will fry your GPU, perhaps getting through a couple of fans in the process.

You are giving it far too many volts! I overclocked my 5850 using just 1.13 volts!

he he he i know but my card is not stable if i lower the volt and my Airconditioner keeps my room at 16C so its running cool too and Mem is the one which needs to be down clocked when i get art-effects after a long time of use

Well lower your overclock until you do find a 'stable' result that runs with a sensible amount of volts, do a couple of benchmarks, and decide for yourself whether the extra 3.5% performance is worth quartering the life of your graphics card.

I have been doing this for years starting with a FX5200 Nvidia then 6600GT Nvidia then a 7600GT Nvidia 7900Nvidia and on 4850 ATi and now on 5770.

my actual idea was to get a 5870 and had the cash ready. but had to buy a washing machine. lol

So the next plan is to upgrade or to CF then i wont have to overclock

hail ATI for giving me nice card
