28" with 1920 x 1200 rez??

thanks but no thanks - thats why this is so f**king cheap. whats the point of buying a 28" if it runs the resolutions of a 24" ???

for a second there I thought HannsG really stepped up their game. guess their sticking to cheap low grade monitors.

You want a big screen but don't need the resolution bump?

You have SLI.

And since when is full hd not HD enough... I'd rather not torture my video card. I doubt I'd see any jaggedness from the rez bump unless I'm 12 inch away from the monitor. 1080p-like resolutions are more than ok untill you hit +70" tv's

Edit:
I'm not even going to start on how 24" 16:9 is perfectly fine for the human field of view (what you can get without tilting your head) when viewed from desk range (18-24" standard recommended for health reasons). More than that and you may as well be getting a LCDTV instead and game from sofa, bed and so on.

hell yeah that looks sexy - pitty Dell have 'backlight' issues with quite a lot of their monitors. crap like 1 side/corner of the screen being 'brighter' then the others. I have used some of the cheaper ultrasharp monitors & they are teh sex

I have the Dell U2711 and I can tell you it's an awesome monitor.

No bleeding or lag in fps games issues.

Got it for £680 on ebay! Bargain! 10/10 cannot recommend the monitor enough.

I have a DELL 2707WFP and has a sharper image than any of those 24" out there. Probably people never seen a 27" or 28" on spot to compare the clarity details vs lower sizes.

What kind of display is this Hanz? TN or S-PVA??

For the price point, it is not a TN

That is a TN!!!! And it does have some backlight bleed. It is an A+ gamer with the lights on but more of a C in the dark. The film negative effect will be a distraction when in a totally dark room.

Got it backwards. TN is the cheapest. TN<PVA or MVA<IPS

And 28" is crap for a 1920x1200 res. The pixels are bigger than on a 24" 1920x1200 monitor, making the picture more grainy, unless you want to sit further away from it.

I have, and they look worse. The 24" has a much sharper, less pixelated image.

Viewsonic makes one with the same panel and so does I-Inc.

LOL WHAT
a 24'' display with the same PPI as your 2707wfp(e.g. making a 24-incher with the same panel) would only have a resolution of 1706x1066. Is that your definnition of "sharper"?
