Please, please, please spread it around (twitter, facebook, other forums, etc.). The 1,000,000 mark is going to be hard to hit but it is a number Ubisoft can't ignore (that's potentially $60 million in their pocket).

It's kinda like Zelda but more Sci-Fi than Fantasy--and it's multi-platform. I was going to make the petition about Splinter Cell: Conviction but that is releasing in only 10 days. Beyond Good & Evil 2 is supposed to launch some time this year so it gives us more time to spread the word around.

I was going to give Assassin's Creed 2 to my brother for his birthday, but realised I can't because the game won't work since his pc isn't constantly connected to the net.

Signed.

I signed the petition, even though the last game that had this DRM, I torrented it with that online-DRM workaround hack and crack

I guess me signing this is an oxymoron, as PC gamers such as myself are the reason why DRM is around in the first place

But if you could buy it off the shelf without any DRM, the game was good, and you had the spare change, wouldn't you buy it?

I am going to be completely honest here!

I make enough money per month to comfortably afford buying any good game. I get it for free because, it is my way of saying "HAH, I can get your stuff for free!!!" It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside torrenting.

However, I can say, that yes, I would have bought it, as it was a very good game. Examples of good games that I thought spending physical $ on was a good idea: Left 4 Dead 2 and Bad Company 2.

Now I don't want to be an ass here, I'm all against DRM and would gladly pay a bit more for a product without it, but...

Are you the starter of the petition? I just noticed that when you start a petition there, you get 0.02c for each signing to your PayPal. With 1,000,000 signings that would be 20,000$. So where does that money go to? To a good cause or to someones pocket?

As I said, I'm not trying to be an ass, but I do like to know where money goes to in these sort of things.

The petition itself is for a good cause, no doubt about that.

The goal of the petition is to take away a major incentive to pirate (the DRM) for at least one title.

Yes, I started the petition. They don't even have my PayPal account so I don't know how that would even be possible. PetitionSpot is collecting all the ad revenue I imagine and I would have to pay $19.95 to get rid of the ads (I wish I could but right now, I can't).

If I had the time and the domain, I would have setup my own petition on my own site. This will have to do.

Edit: If there is revenue I haven't discovered yet, I'd donate all of it to the Red Cross for Haiti relief.

Signed. I don't know if I want Good & Evil 2, but DRM free stuff is always a good thing. I am not a pirate, I purchase my software. Which is why I shouldn't have to put up with all this crap.

The cause is good and right in my opinion and I'll sign it just to get one game rid of DRM.

I was just looking at the sites front page, which showed the attached picture in the beginning.

That's why I asked. If you're not getting anything, or even if you were, it's cool. I'm just all about full disclosure. Here you've said you don't get anything so thats settled.

Oh yeah, and signed it.

Edit: for some reason the pic is not showing up (uploaded to techpowerup.org), will have to attach.

It looks to me like they'd only pay you for signing, not for getting a signature. In any event, I double checked and I shouldn't be enrolled in the PayPal stuff.

Got a long way to go yet.

We don't care what you do, we really don't need to hear it in this thread. It's off topic. Off topic brings the entire thread off topic. Now I have to come in here and tell you all to stay on topic, which in itself is off topic. See what happens? Now, stay on topic.

while i support your cause, im not going to sign it as its a pointless endevor that has failed many times before and is well documented. The fact of the matter is they do not care if you dont like the drm attached to games. You could get the E-sigunature of every pc gamer on the planet and they still would not so much as blink. The only possible way you can get them to do anything is to simply get everyone to not buy their games...and thats never going to happen and they know this. Even if you could start a complete boycott they would simply chalk it up to piracy and stop making pc games all together...its a lose lose situation no matter what angle you take. sorry bro

And slightly off topic.....What leads you to believe there is even going to be a pc version?
