Meh, my overclocked Core i7 920 is definitely good enough for me(all i do is game)
Just gonna do a GPU upgrade.

I've heard the X68 will be the X48 to the X58. If anyone understands that then they'll know I'm hinting at Intel keeping the same socket.

I kinda figured that's the way it would go, personally. I just don't see 1366 dying after a single chipset.

they will still release new 1156/1366 cpu's just like they did 775 untill the X68/P65 become fully embraced but if you wait for X68 etc to upgrade you might as well wait for X78/P75 because thats how hardware works generally dont live longer than 2 yrs max its how its always been

Uhh... The X68 is for top end LGA 2011 Sandy Bridge CPUs. It has nothing to do with LGA 1366. LGA 1366 will be the top end for another year till 2nd half of 2011, meaning more affordable gulftown CPUs are making its way to X58.
