Bad Company Battlefield 2 is pretty sweet man. Great FPS for sure.

Alternate suggestions: Star Trek, The Sabotuer, Prototype, Final Fantasy 13, GRID, or even COD MW2.
If you have an opportunity to buy a PS3 God of War 3 has been stellar from what I've seen.

Edit, forgot about Dragon Age Origins. It was an epic release and near rival to World of Warcraft.

2nd Edit, Totally forgot about Borderlands. Great FPS with a touch of RPG. About a 20 hour experience in single player, not including down loadable content.

if you mention DA Origins in the same sentence, as WOW, you simply are a Heretic!

they are not even comparable... WOW is Cartoon Graphics with no Background, and DA Origins is sweet Graphics and more storyline than you could swallow

regarding the topic: have you thought of saving a little money, and adding that to your Present, and not buy a new game, but to buy an SSD?
i got myself one for Eastern, and i must say: PHEW. theyre fast

Bioshock scares you? I will admit that the first area is kinda creepy, then it goes down hill fast in creep factor. I say Resident Evil 5 TBH. I know that it doesn't meet the criteria of FPS, but it's still worth a look, especially how cheap it is now. And it's not scary at all, intense, but not scary. You should also look at the Gears of War series.

If your looking for realistic i would have to say GTR 2, F1 2002(old but still), Arma 2( hard to run though ).

GTR2 demo

Arma 2

Happy Birthday .

O yeah another well worth a look in to is Dragon Age. The x pac is not all that much and is worth about $15 to me although the game is worth $50 without question if you like doing the side quests as well as the main part of the game.

Now this really should be your decision since you know what you like and what you don't but BC2 is pretty sweet although I think that you would love AvP, not scary at all.

Happy B-day mate

He has a 360 and PC, so pre-ordering a PS3 title would be pointless

I would probably recommend Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the PC (as he has a nice gaming rig)

PS: Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn good point. I saw the PC and "console" I automatically think it was the PS3. No worries though, he can get a PS3 along with it.

I lol'd. Happy Birthday Delta

I'd second DA:O. It's the finest RPG to come out in a long time, and the expansion DA:O -Awakening got very good reviews too.

I'm a great fan of NFS Shift since the patch sorted out the performance issues with ATI cards. With a G25 the handling is the best I've found and the graphics are superb.
