Dispute resolution thread

If you are involved in a bad sale/trade, contact a moderator about getting something posted in this thread to help resolve the issue.

The idea is to have one thread where people can report bad traders, and those 'bad' traders can respond back, and get this resolved.

List of reports starts here:

smashed_99CBR was reported as a bad trader for not shipping items, but eventually came back to sort out his mistakes. He is still willing to do so, if you had a bad trade with him.

Deleted the stuff I had on him because I simply don't have the time to file a police report. I sent him a money order for $110 for an E8400, and he never sent a thing. He also got someone else on TPU (parsalian) for a 4870 with the same method.

If this is resolved, I'll edit this out of this post and any negative Heat will be edited.

Charper2013 Has also had reports of trying to trade the same item to multiple users as part of a potential scam. Again, If Charper comes clean and it turns out to be a misunderstanding - let us know

If we get more reports of bad traders me (or another mod of this section) will edit this post and turn it into a list.

A couple of guidelines to follow:

No personal attacks/comments/remarks. List trades that went bad, and methods that you've used to try and resolve it. If they dont come here and post to get it sorted out, then the bad mark on their name is their problem to deal with.

Traders who are reported as bad: Just be nice. Most of the time these things can be resolved peacfully, you're the one who's going to lose out if it doesn't get sorted.

I think this thread will work out good if it stays locked for discussion and is left to the original post as a list

we need somewhere for people to discuss and sort out disputes.

If we dont have a thread for it, people will end up making new threads and scattering it all over the place.

That said, if this thread doesnt work out i will go with that idea and just leave it as a list.

I would agree on this. I have never been scammed thank god. But let's say I was....So either 1. I would like to warn people about them. 2. If it was a real screw up I would like the person to have the chance to voice what happened as well as make up for the mistake.

I like the above quoted Idea.

Would it be possible to have a subforum like the infamous HardForum does? It would be less messy if we had one thread for every bad trader (not bad transaction).

perhaps.

For now, we'll try a thread. There is enough opposition to this thread alone, that there is little chance of a subforum happening at this time.

An excellent experiment. Thank you, Mussels. I was going to recommend we do something like this but didn't think it had a snowball's chance in hell of being approved.

^^ Agreed, and I understand that starting with just a single thread is a good idea so maybe down the line. Let's hope this goes well.

This guy also sold me a PSU; 950w Enermax.

I didn't get it and he was hard to deal with when I questioned where it was...the mods got involved and he gave me half of the money back because he said the PSU was with him and as I had stated, it wasn't with me either.

Look at his eBay page and you'll no doubt find your PSU...he sold the same one on eBay a few weeks earlier that he had sold me.

I suggest you post a Heatware evaluation describing the situation as well. I don't think anybody wants this thread to turn into a substitution for heatware.

Thank you for putting me on to his Ebay. I discovered something else that should be brought to attention.

hedrich55 is the Ebay account listed in Anath's Heatware. The only feedback for another user, anaththeanswer, has been positive and was from/to hedrich55. anaththeanswer@gmail.com is Anath's e-mail address. No accusations; these are simply the facts.

Edit to add a fun twist: aCid, your 950w Enermax was sold to "anaththeanswer."

this is definetly a needed thread, it will open peoples eyes to be a bit more carefull, and hopfully scare off these bad traders.

Look for people with a long list of heatware. 60+ all positive is a safe range for purchase if you are new. If you are going to ship first they better have 80+ all positive IMO. Although I have never been scammed by a guy I haven't caught within 3 months. ForgottenRealms almost got me but I ended up getting my new PS3 shipped back to me eventually, but others weren't so lucky when dealing with him.

I think this is a great idea especially with some of the things going on here, starting to wonder why there would be opposition o something like this. I have personally been taken before but now I know the way to handle and coument everything. when you make a trade with someone keep those pm's until you recieve the item in hand. hopefully I wont have to post again in this thread

Current standing is that if you have a deal or trade in progress with Charper2013, cancel it and do your best to get your items back.

Should he not follow through with the trades by doing his side of the deal or returning your goods, contact the police.

im hoping either dub or danish devil get there stuff and all of us put our mind at ease but seeing how many people he traded with makes one wonder how a 15yr kid without a job was able to get his hands on all this hardware, and come up with the cash to send it all out. monday morning i am going down to my local usps and having them check to find out if any packages have been sent from his address to mine, also I will be calling chi-chesters pharmacy (the place he says he shipped from) to find out if he sent one as well, even if he didnt get tracking numbers they process the to and from addresses in their computers upon receipt, i work in law enforcement so I will be able to have restriceted access to the to and from adress when it comes to shipping to my own address, so monday morning by 930 am the latest I will have an update for this thread. I want to belive him so im hopping they tell me he sent an item.
