Super Talent Launches TeraDrive CT Series SSDs

Super Talent Technology, a leading manufacturer of Flash storage solutions and DRAM memory modules, today announced immediate availability of the new TeraDrive CT SSD, which uses the SandForce 1222 SSD processor to deliver astounding performance in laptops and desktops.

The new TeraDrive CT has a standard SATA-II 3Gbps interface. It delivers sequential read and write speeds up to 285 and 275 MB/sec respectively. Built-in Garbage Collection and TRIM support ensure sustainable performance over the life of the drive, without degradation.

The TeraDrive CT features RAISE technology for enhanced reliability and DuraWrite technology for significantly increased endurance, state-of-the-art wear leveling, bad block management, and excellent ECC with up to 24 symbols correctable per 512 byte sector. The TeraDrive CT, built with MLC NAND flash, uses new improved firmware that yields greater usable capacity than earlier 1222 based SSDs. It is offered in capacities from 60GB to 480GB.

Joe James, Director of Marketing at Super Talent stated, “The TeraDrive CT is now our fastest desktop/laptop upgrade SSD. It has an amazing feature set combined with exceptional sequential and random transfer speeds and best-in-class reliability.” TeraDrive CT SSDs are available now through Super Talent resellers worldwide.

That's one of my biggest press release complaints. It's silly not to mention them.

Sill on Sata 3.0, I thought 6.0 was the future. And I agree, not mentioning prices is horse puckey. Still not as fast as the over 300+ R/W that was mentioned a few days ago, but nice.

Well, the max read and write speeds have not break that limit yet, so there is no point in introducing Sata 6Gbps.

please call it SATA 1, 2 or 3. (or 150/300/600)
I guess SATA I/II/III works as well.

calling it 2.0/3.0 just gets confusing because Sata 3 is 6Gb/s while sata 2 is 3Gb/s - so its confusing which one you mean when you call it sata 3.0

It gets even more confusing when you say (wrongly) SATA 3 and meant SATA 3Gbps. I would prefer people to call it SATA 3Gbps or SATA 6Gbps, that way there is no confusion and its only a few keystrokes away. I don't mind SATA I/II/III though.

SO yeah

Sata 1/2/3 (I/II/III)
Sata 150/300/600 (MB/s)
SATA 1.5Gb/3Gb/6Gb

consensus has been reached. resistance is futile. you will be assimilated.

you'll need to fit a roast chicken sandwhich between the drives and the mobo*, but yes, it will work.

*optional step.

The Crucial Real SSD drives say otherwise.
