Sound Card and speaker Suggestion for Games and Blu-Rays

Hey

As the title says im looking for a soundcard for games and blu-rays and also speakers set that would be good.

I had originally looked at ASUS XONAR HDAV1.3 and the Logitech Z-5500, would that be a good choice for blu-ray and games?

any info appreciated. thanks

System Specs

For speakers, I reccomend getting a reciever and a good home theater speaker setup. It looks like you want surround sound, so you'll either need a reciever that supports more than stereo over analog (which come few and far between), or you'll need to go with SPDIF over coaxial or optical, or use HDMI. The Xonar HDAV you mentioned will work fine for carrying audio over HDMI to your reciever.

+ for hat and SabreWulf69, the Xonar is a good choice. Got my vote as well. I have Creative GigaWorks S750 7.1 Speakers. They're very good speakers, but they're also old speakers and been around for a while.
