BitFenix Design Lab Officially Announces the Colossus PC Chassis

Today, the BitFenix Design Lab has officially announced its highly-anticipated PC chassis. Dubbed Colossus, this full tower E-ATX PC chassis is built specifically for gamers and PC enthusiasts from the ground up, making it the ideal enclosure for the most colossal gaming rigs. "With Colossus, we focused on how gamers and PC enthusiasts were interacting with their computers on a daily basis, and crafted a PC chassis that actually helps to enhance their computing experience," says David Jarlestedt, BitFenix Product Manager. Inspired by one of the wonders of the ancient world, Colossus brings PC chassis design to a new level. Located at the very top of the chassis is the BitFenix S3 - a combination storage and security system in one. With S3, users can place their mobile phone, hard disk, USB drives, or other valuables in S3 and easily lock them away for safe keeping. Aside from the light controls, Colossus also features a PWM fan controller that grants users more precise control over their fan speeds without the need for proprietary fans. I don't think that this screw holes thing is a fail. Especially since they are dented of sorts, I guess it depends on type of screws that are supplied(?)/used with it (flat-headed?). Thumbscrews would likely be a FAIL.

But, I must admit, when I counted HDD slots, I wuz like: this is my next case! It seems great for home storage server. Although I like black case the most, must admit that the white ones look pretty, though.

So long as it's at least 8 3/4 -9" in depth it would be good...That screw snafu wouldn't be visible unless you were looking at the back, but it does look sloppy. Instead of using a wider peice of metal it looks like everything was moved to the right a little bit to accomodate cable routing behind the mobo tray?....That works, it's just miserly of them not to go for that little 1/4" of extral material (Regarding the pics of the rearview)

What other product from BitFenix do you know...?!

Whether it's ugly or not, that is a matter of opinion, and opinions are like as... - everybody's got one.

But a good thing is that this new case is stirring some "opinions"... I always welcome new players to the game, it's newer crowded...

And for example, I like the black one, especially with LED's turned off.

Like it so much that I will buy one, when available. Because I care sh.. about LED, transparent sides and other fanciness, when there is so much functionality and when it is so well distributed (7*3.5", 5*5.25"). I never understood why would anyone cram more than 2-3 of 5.25" slots, let alone 7 or 12...

Well I was thinking fail because I run push/pull fans with my H50 and the pulling fan is mounted outside the chassis...so it would be impossible with this case.....OR if you wanted to mount a rad on the outside, fail
