i avert no blame. TPU is my home page TPU keeps me up at night, iv blocked all sites except TPU, TPU is my wifi name. I named my cat TPU I dont get dressed because TPU is closer than my dresser. He's lying. At 16 hours a day (figure 8 for sleeping), that adds up to just under 30,000 hours. He has been playing approximately 11 hours a day. In other words, he was productive for 5 hours every day. Warren Buffet makes millions every hour, even if he isn't working...

Since 11 hours a day for 5 years is very excessive, I'd conclude he has an addictive personality and, well, that's his own damn fault. There's no way he'll get a cent out of ncsoft. The court should (will) order him to attend addiction conseling with no monetary compensation.

If this game was one of them then fair game, I don't think deliberately addictive is a good thing.

You can't even win lawsuits against beer companies and that is addictive. You can't sue a cigarette company even if you die from lung cancer and they are addictive. You can't sue a porn company if you become addicted to porn. You are responsible for your own behavior and any injury that might occur by participating in said event is your own problem.

Doesn't the military use similar things when training soldiers? Shoot the target and it makes a little "ding". I'm not trying to undermine the psychological validity of game addiction but I'm pretty sure the basis is really the reward mechanism and it is often disturbingly simplistic.
