[uk] msi nx8800gtx oc 768mb

Finally finished Batman and no longer need this for Physx.
It's a competent classic! Nice and cool and quiet for a GTX too, idles low 50's. This is the higher clocked one @ 612 core/2000 mem
I'm up for offers and trades, but no lowballing
This is for the card only, no original packaging but will be antistatically and bubble wrapped with love.
Especially interested in hifi stuff (amplifiers, bookshelf speakers etc) so let me know what you have.
Cheers

yea roughly, closer to HD 4850, 8800GTX is always a hair behind the 4850.

Don't do it

Oh god no, don't sell it!

These cards are classics and still play well today. Quiet too. Perhaps keep it as a spare or stick it on display.

Look, for my junkie fix, I've bought three variants in the last couple of years:

An XFX 8800GTX B-grade from Overclockers.

An Asus 8800 Ultra B-grade from Overclockers (this is the version that looks like a GTX, but believe me, it's an Ultra ).

A new BFG 8800 Ultra (that looks like an Ultra) for £100 off eBay a while back, before BFG went tits up.

And I love every one of them.

Don't say that, I'm so tempted! If I didn't have three already, I probably would have.

Heck, Overclockers are selling its little brother, the 8800 GTS 320MB recond for £47 and I'm tempted to waste my money on that. Then they have the 640MB version too and the GTS 512MB (now gone).

The offending Overclockers page.

OMG, I need a therapist!

Yeah, like TheCrow said, I think eBay is your best bet. People on here are very knowledgeable about these things and have moved on from this card and know not to pay much for it. You'll likely only shift it here if you flog it for an unsatisfying £20-£30, unfortunately. Heck, for that money, I'd just keep it as a spare, you never know when it can come in handy for troubleshooting.

Selling it at a "premium" price to some sucker on eBay who doesn't know better is your best bet. To give you an example, shortly before Windows 7 came out, you could buy Vista retail and get the equivalent edition of 7 completely free. That was a truly great offer and I capitalized on it to the full.

I bought 9 copies of Vista Ultimate Full Retail over a short period of time and flogged them at a loss, but still fairly high price. I managed to do this a mere couple of months before 7 came out and the freebie offer didn't apply to my sales...

I then claimed my freebie 7's and sold them on eBay too. Between them, I made a handsom profit of between £50-£100 for each pair. I made a killing overall.

Only one buyer twigged that he could have got a brand new 7 Ultimate Full Retail for just a few pounds more and asked me politely if I would send it to him. I just as politely declined, explaining that it only applied to retail sales from a shop, not private sales. The poor sod was so disappointed that I felt quite sorry for him.

Look, here's a quickie eBay query I done on the 8800 GTX. Just look at how much some of those go for.

If you do sell it on eBay, make sure that you describe it as accurately and honestly as possible, even if that info lowers the price. That way, the buyer is unlikely to file a claim against you. And knowing how eBay/PayPal works, they're likely to decide in favour of the buyer, regardless of merit.

Note however, that eBay and PayPal have made quite a few changes to their user agreements recently and all in favour of the buyer as far as I can see. Therefore, I strongly recommend you read them fully before you sell anything on eBay. I know I will.

Let us know how you get on.
