Just saw the first Halo 3 commercial

It was on approximately 9:06 according to my VCR, and it was AMAZING! Too short and not revealing enough, in my opinion, but...The only time you'll catch me watching Monday Night Football . Basically, it starts with kids staring at the stars going "do you think there's anything up there?" And then it cuts into the chief on the ground (he was probably having a flashback), who finds his helmet on the snow-covered ground. The master chief proceeds to stick his helmet on, put on a FULL BODY SHIELD (we're talking like a bubble, not the master cheifs ordinary shield) to evade a volley of plasma turret fire (NOT like previous Halo plasma fire, like a cannonball). He then grabs his assault rifle, runs away, and jumps into a pile of, erm, things (whether their Brutes, Covenant, or Marines is unknown to me). You'll prolly see the commercial on YouTube...soon.

Halo 3 + Gears of War + Halo Wars + Xbox Live = 4 great reasons to get Xbox360.

I'm buying the Xbox 360 for other things too, Xbox Live, Gears of War, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Call of Duty 3, and many others. Plus that HD DVD is a pretty good add-on, just waiting until they release an HDMI since my Samsung only accepts 1080p through HDMI, not component.

xbox360+wii ftw. they are 2 completely diff consoles, their gameplay imho barely overlaps. it just won't get old.

another plus? both of them cost as much as a ps3! heh.

My single Xbox 360 will cost as much as a PS3, Xbox 360 Premium ($399.99) + Xbox 360 HD DVD ($199.99) =$599.98

Xbox live is great, one reason why I still play my Xbox, for Halo 2 and Xbox Live. Halo 2 wouldn't have been the success it is without Xbox Live.

Btw, can I transfer Xbox Live accounts from Xbox to Xbox 360?

Dude, Xbox wouldn't have been anywhere CLOSE to where it is today if it weren't for Halo and Xbox Live.

But wouldn't it still be an analog signal no matter what, or will it still produce a 1080p signal?

Also, my ATI card didn't come with that component thing.

Eh..there's news about an HDMI cable coming out for the XBox 360, I'll just wait and see. I don't want to get an HD DVD player right now, and buy all this extra stuff and in a few months, an actual HDMI cable comes out.

Also, does anyone know how long the batter lasts for the Xbox 360 Wireless controllers?

The Premium Package comes with a Wireless controller and two batteries, but not a charger.

If it is producing a 1080P thru the component I don't no why it would loss that thru adaptors.

my battery on mine usually lasts about 12hours if u play straight, you have to take the batteries out when ur done or it will drain the battery because the controller never really shuts of,im assuming because it has to keep a link or something with the console..when u shut the controller off you will notice a very dim green ring of light in the dark thats how i noticed they stay on,so you will definatly want the quick charger or at least the play and charge kit

Well, here goes:

Xbox 360 Premium Package (Xbox 360 Console, 20GB Hard Drive, Wireless Controller, HD AV Cable, Ethernet Network Cable, Wired Xbox Live Headset, White Standard Faceplate, Xbox Live Silver Service)

$399.99

Call of Duty 3

$59.99

Nyko Power Kit for Xbox 360 (Rechargeable NiMH Battery and 11ft Charging Cable)

$16.99

TOTAL: $476.97, and with tax around $515.

Does this sound good? I chose Call of Duty 3 because I heard it's Online rapes any other game out there, and I need that rechargeable batter as well.

Is there anything I'm missing?

Yeah, that too, but for Halo 2 it's easier to turn fast when you jump and I'm so used to jumping now, and people always ask me "how can you turn so fast", and I say "Jump white boy!"

But Call of Duty 3 is what I want, good reviews, score is a little low (~9.0) because of okay campaign, but what it lacks in campaign it rapes in Live. So, that's for sure, and I need to charge the Wireless, so hopefully that Nyko will do a great job of it.

Is there anything missing from above though that I might have forgot? Besides my ownage skills in Live of course...

I can't wait for Xbox live on PC next year, boy people on 360 are going to be mad when they play head on with mouse and keyboard in FPS games.

Can't I transfer my current Xbox Live account to the Xbox 360 Live? I still got until March on my account, and it automatically charges each time.

yeah i think you can switch your account over, but you will still need to save some cash for your Ms points to download the new maps...the points arent to expensive i usually get 5000 at a time it costs 62.50 but not bad because they last for awhile,at least 6 or 7 months for me so far
