I know lots of the younger mods are no longer here. Maybe it was they went off to a university or what not, but anyway, I'm at a university and I am still here.

I know that I can always get help and can always give help. I however do pick on people when the time is right, you know? I make images that convey my feelings, although it is pretty obvious the whole thing is a friendly joke.

Examples:

Anyway, TPU is a chill place where everyone is family, and whoever is not gets confused by Dan's sarcasm and leaves.

Well The main difference is that this is a tech forum first, and has an added on gaming section.

The tech part is what brings in a lot of smart people.

Most gaming sites bring in the gaming retards.

yeah i kind of think those guys were like living whole day in the forum. .. oh not , couldn't see the thread mess !

I din't notice this my self , to be self aware of it , nope , ... it was "instinct" , i don't know if there's a day that i don't look at tpu , not to be obsessed, sometimes just a quicky one post , but it is.

How many times i lost mind with windows and posted angry helping topics , two times i remember , when . everyone acted like a normal thread , so the whole thing backfired in a good way , i was ashamed and never write anything like that way (early days). So that was the best thing that happend because it was lesson.

Those picking stuff would just start the flame , at least with some other people , i wouldn't go that far to actually inentionally bait or fuel.

Learned one thing , forum doesn't need to stand the anger , so when windows dumps on me , it's the magical (lol that one's an irony) "Q" button (power button in same like TPU icon) ... shutdown pc, and then deal with it later , no need to rush...

Just now , i got a new headcache , i have windows update disabled normally , but from time to time , enable it to manually install , so i did yesterday , and , some of the updates screwd the sound , now my Xonar drivers don't work for 2CHANNEL audio , no effects , nothing , and i was just going to listen some music , ahh there's no reason to bo angry at all ... that's what windows is , when these stuff happens , I am going to sleep right now! << probably the best instafix

I hate it, cause all the mods are super evil!

Just take Solaris17 for an example!-The name itself SCREAMS SATIN all over it!! And then add the number 17 and well that's to scary to even put into words!!!!!

Now take a place like http://www.generalnonsense.net and you have Super Light side mods!

You can take the name Erocker! Just by looking at it can tell it screams Jesus all over it! Take this he doesn't even let his kids on the internets!!!!! How can someone be more good than that I ask???/

Never really had a "down" here. Whenever I've needed help with anything (Which has been a lot lately with my new job) people go out of their way to teach you what they know. Great people here

I like TPU because you can simply say FUCK and SHIT and ASS and FAGGOT without being censored or ridiculed. When I'm out of my mind about something, I want swear words that match, not half-assed asterisks or modbreaks. I mean, that would make it seem like I'm nice all the time!

Also, I never felt like a noob on the forums here. I just started posting.

I like this site because most people are helpful and I receive prompt and accurate answers to any queries I might have, whilst constantly being provided with interesting news and information. Moreover, debate rarely descends into mindless personal attacks and in my experience moderator input, in their capacity as moderators, is exemplary.

@erocker - good luck with the nicotine demon, I've been smoking since I was 15 (22 years ago now), so I know what you're going through. I once stopped for a year, but when I was offered and accepted a draw of a joint in a bar one night I was buying cigarettes again the next day - we'll always be smokers, the goal is to reach the level of being a smoker in remission rather than a practicing smoker. I hope to find the strength to give it another go in the near future.

So true. Current stats:
Six months, one week, one day, 13 hours, 30 minutes and 6 seconds. 3851 cigarettes not smoked, saving € 877,90. Life saved: 1 week, 6 days, 8 hours, 55 minutes.

I know very, very well not to have another puff ever again. Just like people with alcohol or drug addictions, it's dangerous stuff.

Think the success of TPU is because it started as a very good expert forum.
I still remember when the forums were full of ppl that tried to mod ATI 9800SE
Its nice to see that its still is mainly a excellent forum. I consider the main page + reviews a nice addon
