Nah, not all things are bad. And Nehru Place isn't the "Akihabara of India" as they say. It's just a really big place for cheap computer parts.

High-end parts are mostly on par with US prices. In fact I got my processor for less than Newegg.com price. The USD-INR equation balances out most of the time. It's just that non-reference ATI Radeon tends to be costly.

OT: didn't he say he didn't update drivers, even if your drivers picked up the card, you need to update to the newest you can for the HD 5870. I think that may be why your 3dmark 06 score is so low. I score higher than that with my HD 5770, course my CPU is at 3.4ghz, but still.
