Philips Intros Brilliance Series 21.5-inch Full-HD Monitor

Philips introduced the 21.5-inch Brilliance series 226CL2 monitor. This compact full-HD (1920 x 1080) monitor uses W-LED illumination that cuts down power consumption further, from CCFL-illuminated ones. The panel supports response time of 2 ms GTG, the SmartImage feature adjusts image quality and performance depending on the content being displayed. Other specifications include dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1, and brightness of 250 cd/m². Inputs include D-Sub and DVI. It is now up for pre-order at €165.

21" is too small of a screen for 1920x1080, it makes everything too small and hard to read. I have to use a 1920x1080 21" screen at my workstation at work, and it is way too hard to read.

That's what global DPI settings are for - to make things bigger on high DPI screens. I prefer high DPI screens as it makes everything look nicer - if things get too small to read just adjust the DPI setting and bam! everything's readable again.

The problem with that is it never looks right, to the point that things actually don't work because text is cut off.

I'd just use a smaller resolution, but that always looks fuzzy compared to the native.

I have no issue with my 21.5" Asus and text. Although my eyesight is not nowhere what it used to be. I like the resolution but I do have to admit it makes things look kind of odd at times.

I like my 26" screen. After using it I am buying all 24" or more for builds.
