i see tons of i7 and i5 overclocking threads

but no i3, poor little CPU lol

needs moar attention

Specs on the i3 series



i will make a table with overclock, mb, chipset, vcore and other relevant info when people start showing their results

i bought the i3 530 yesterday, its a nice little thing,

im running it @ 3.7 ghz so far with 1.2vcore

im still getting used to this p55 chipset, but im sure ill go higher soon

but it wont let me boot/stable over 198BCLK

so nex im gonna take the multi up 1x at the time

1.17v qpi
1.6v dram
0.78 dram termination



Runs like this daily:


I could push it back to 4.2Ghz 1.25v or 4.4Ghz 1.33v but I am enjoying the much lower temps(10C lower) @ 4Ghz without much performance loss. Oh and I do have C1E/EIST/C-states enabled.

i got i3 540 on my home server running @ 3.8ghz but not sure at wat voltage, ill check it later

i have bench it for 4.2 but no reason to run it that high for WHS.

I've used up to 1.5v but that was for benching I usually use 1.4v 24/7 1.42v if needed
