These flash to gtx 470 cards and until 1200 am with this promo code are 232.86 shipped. Might be the best deal out promo code EMCZZYR24 (25.00 value) . This price dropped 30.00 from one hour ago. (It was 279.99) before the promo. This card is supposed to be a limited edition card and has a solid copper heatsink.

Well several people have flashed this card on this forum. I think they used this bios for this card. However, any gtx 480 will do because the PCB is ref. I would have bought this for sure but picked up a gtx 480 for 350.00 shipped.

This bios would make the most sense MSI N470GTX Twin Frozr II GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) ...

I would use this bios http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/7...80.100401.html

I'm confused, why does a 480 bios make a 465 a 470? I already found a frozr 470 bios anyways.

Try it again and any GTX470 bios will do, both this MSI GTX 465 Twin FrozrII and the MSI GTX 470 Twin FrozrII are ref design with better cooling. Physically both are identical to any gtx 470 with a ref design. I was just posting the MSI GTX bios to stay consistent and to make sure you don't have to edit the user file for Afterburner. I accidently hit the GTX 480 Bios button at first , but it's fixed now. The only thing making this a gtx 465 is the bios physically it's a GTX 470. Hope that straightens things out for you. Coincidently several gtx 480 are now down to 325.00 on ebay Doh!!! Hell of a price for that card hot or not.

I managed to find a stock frozr II bios just with the voltage uncapped. Some people have gotten these to 900mhz+ with 1.1v. Little crazy. Hopefully mine isn't a bum.

I hope MSI didn't pull a fast one and make it a true gtx 465.

Confirmed how?

This site is selling them saying they don't unlock:

I have seen nearly 50 people from varying buy dates (first month on sale to current month) saying theirs unlocked. I suppose I shouldn't have said confirmed but of all the people I have seen that have these they have all unlocked. I have never seen a report of otherwise. I would bet that the rep from NCIX that posted is just telling BS. Also the Promo has ended. But it's still a hell of a deal on a 470 with a custom cooler.

Buy it. Unlock it. Enjoy it.

At that price why not just buy a normal GTX 470. Same price at the worst, and at best you can get the Zotac for $230 after rebate.

Buying the GTX 465 at that price (regardless if it unlocks or not) makes no sense to me considering the current price of the GTX 470 is +$10 before any rebates or promos.

A Turkish review site shows photos of a 465 Golden that lacks two memory chips:

http://galeri.pclabs.com.tr/cache/ms...g_7874_600.jpg

http://galeri.pclabs.com.tr/cache/ms...g_7883_600.jpg

Rumor has it that international (non-US) models are truly cut-down, but for all I know, all the recent ones are.

Right now, a regular MSI 470 is less than $200 after rebate and code at Newegg, making this dubious proposition even more dubious than when it sold for $233.

I am guessing thats the company's approach/answer, personally I would be happy to take the word of countless newegg customers who clearly have not had their review comments "screened".

Interesting. I would say it's a safe bet you would get one that could in the US though.

I bought one myself can you post a few screen shots and maybe the bios you used to flash the card with. You said it had all the memory chips and you flashed it. Also how are the temps.

I had to use a frozr II 470 bios to get it to unlock, then in windows I flashed it to NCspecV81's 480 based bios but I modified it to have more reasonable clocks and voltage. 700/3400/1.025v. Temps are good, I get around 70c when I crank the fan up for OCCT. In afterburner I have it set to keep it under 75c but to idle at 30% fan speed which is dead silent.

Here is a cool video and where did you find the FrozII gtx 470 bios? I found the bios nevermind on that.

well I hd to cancel my gtx 465 for now , because I purchased a Talon Hawk for a unreal price new in the box. I hated to cancel because I want this card but the Hawk was near 90.00 cheaper.

That cooler should be overkill for a 460, sky will be the limit with overclocking.

Temps are good, fans have a nice range of dead silent to really loud. OC is bleh, only hits 752/3600.
