Cougar Power Supplys

Anyone know or have experience with this brand of power supply? newegg is hosting a 15% off, and they don't look half bad.

There's a review of the S700 on JonnyGURU, and it looks pretty good.

There's a profusion of HEC PSUs over here, I wonder why...

Anyway, they're quite good, certainly better than generic PSUs and "lesser brands", don't expect it to trump the other "bigger brands" though.

Yeah I read the review's was looking at a personal stand point.

I think I'll take the plunge, not bad for the price vs some other brands I have tried in the past.

I think the way it works is that the Cougar PSU's are a little older and they are looking to hookup with newer, younger PCs. This phenomenon is just recently been discovered by the media and has inspired "cougar cruises" amongst many other Cougar related social outings. (All Puns intended)

OR: They are actually not bad. I've had two experiences with these power supplies and in both cases they seemed to be mid-quality PSU's. Nothing to brag about but not something I would worry about frying your board either.
