Worth it too, shame i cannot say the same for the second one..

This one looks like they worked on it a load more but to think it be better than the 1st is just plain foolish but i am hoping.

That is probably the only game that I am actually excited about. I just hope they don't screw it up.

I have high hopes for this one. I totally agree with you though... it will be damn near impossible for them to beat the first Deus Ex. This one is showing a lot of promise and as long as it falls closer to the first one vs second I will be a happy gamer!

Kinda one sided opinion there. Just because some people don't like the second one doesn't mean that everyone shares that opinion. I have both and I honestly like the 2nd one better. It was overshadowed by the likes of Doom 3, Far Cry, and Half Life 2, but it's still a good game.

It's more like it's overshadowed by the first game imo. I played IW maybe 3 years before I played the first game, but the original is still mindblowing.

IW is totally worth a playthrough or two though.

It can be had for less than $5 these days and well worth it to play.

So true, but to me playability on the PC of Deus ex 1 and 2 were completely different. And to me Doom was just a spawn machine which actually annoyed the crap out of me although HL 2 was a great game but HL2 did not have what Deus Ex had and enjoyed both games. And to me both games are in different category.

I even hunted another copy down( last year ) to to give it another try but no total fail imo and played though Deus ex 1 once again ( 3rd time ).

yeah i really liked them both. 2 definitely hhad less depth, but it was still a great game. hopefully they can balance more depth in this time - but regardless I will buy it, and I will love it!

Here is something I just learned.

WHICH ENGINE & PLATFORM?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution uses a heavily modified version of the Tomb Raider: Underworld engine. The game will not resemble TR:U at all. On consoles DX:HR will deliver state of the art visuals, and the PC version will be cutting edge with DirectX 11 effects.

HOW WILL THE PC VERSION BE DIFFERENT FROM THE CONSOLE VERSIONS?
The PC version of DX:HR will feature DirectX 11 support for improved visuals. It will have more advanced AI to compensate for the precision offered by the mouse, in addition to optimized controls, and a unique UI tailored to the platform.
