TPU Forums Need a Facelift!

The TPU forums should get a cosmetic facelift IMO

I could even make a nice new banner for the top of the page.

If any member of TPU with the authority is interested, let me know and I can make a nice banner for you

I believe the way it goes is supply a banner and get some loving votes from the members, and w1zzard will consider it. The way i see it is, he wants a plug and play idea if he is going to do it at all

Personally I don't mind a banner change, but this.. absolutely not. I like the colors the way they are. They are easy on the eyes, I see no reason for a change in this regard.

Yeah the color scheme is relatively easy on the eyes, although the background could be darker. Doesn't VB allow for user selectable color themes? Could have some options for us all

changing a banner logo is usually a no-no for established brands like techpowerup. you will have to make it epic i bet to get w1zzards approval.

Well I'm not saying a total rehaul. Just take out all of the blue elements, and put in some subtle gray and red elements, so that it is still easy one the eyes but matches the TPU colors.

this forum is run extremely conservatively.. it takes a great deal to cause a small change. color scheme, forget it, never going to happen.

as for banner, it's been tried many times, and each time, the attempts have been futile..

Absolutely correct. Even changing the logo for a day will not fly (IE Xmas logo for the holidays). W1z just won't take the time to change a logo for many reasons, some that have already been mentioned in this thread. If it does change, it is because W1z feels the site needs to be updated, as he did 2ish years ago.

yeah, and it hasn't been the only one.. except a winner for any of the contests has never been declared.. the threads were just ignored for the most part.
