Need New Earphones
A few weeks ago my Sennheiser CX300-II broke, only one ear works. I got them online in a sale last year for €19 which was a steal, I saw them in shops a few weeks ago still at €50. There's no way in hell I'm paying €50 for them after previously getting them for €19.
So now I'm looking for new ones, I don't have a specific company in mind I just want ear buds with good bass that are not too expensive (€20-50) and I'll be using them on an iPod touch. The spec of the CX300-II are: Frequency response: 19-20000Hz Impedance: 16 Ω Sound pressure level: 113 dB Transducer principle: Dynamic So far, these are ones available to me in shops, but not checked out yet: Skullcandy Dubs - €13 Klipsch Image S2 - €40 AKG K 330 Scarab - €40 |

Skullcandies are terrible. Cover their lacking quality with bass, and are cheaply made. Trust me, I bought two pairs, both broke, both sounded muddy.

I only looked at Skullcandy because they're €13 but now I have my phone for music I think I'll just use that as a temporary solution.
So I'm thinking Head-Direct RE0 with a FiiO L3. That's about $100. What do you guys think, any cheaper suggestions? |

Also consider the Meelec M9's, I absolutely love mine. Excellent sound for the price of around $20 USD, dunno if you can get them to Ireland or not...but it might be worth looking into if they might ship them that way or have distribution over your direction.
http://www.meelec.com/MEElectronics_...-m9-mee-og.htm All I can say is, these guys provide a solid sounding earphone with a solid build and plenty of extras you don't see in earphones at 2-3X the price. I run mine off a Sansa Fuze V2 w/Rockbox and couldn't be happier. :Toast: |

Klipsch Image without a doubt. They are supposed to be amazing. If you can stretch your budget by about 20, get the Image s4. Ranked no 1 in Best Headphones by Cnet.

The Klipsch S4 are good but not amazing by any means. I think for the price they are alright but nothing unique or special like that CNET top 5 ranking states. For around the price you are willing to spend I would get the Head-Direct RE0s or Sunrise Xcape or MP4Nation Brainwavz M2 (if you want loads of bass). Those three in-ears are better than the Klipsch in-ears except for maybe guarantee.

Well maybe but Klipsch makes good quality gear as well. They are not cheaply made.

The Fiio L3 is just a LOD not an amplifier. The L1 is on the other hand a slimline LOD+amplifier.

My mistake. I meant the E1. So what do you guys think of the RE0 and E1 combination?

The E1? You mean the L1 right?
The L1 should be quite good I have not heard it but I have the E3 and E5 and they sound great with the RE0s. |
