Nice I have been playing a heavily modded version on and off for a couple years using the "Morrowind Expanded 2009" guide as a base. Looks pretty good but not like this, of course. Looking forward to this. If only I can scrub and use my present save...

Man, that is dripping with awesome sauce. Must play. Morrowind outclassed Oblivion in pure RPG goodness. Oblivion is good, but felt too wussified for me.

i just feel bad the while the enviorments look great the character models armors etc didnt really withstand the test of time lol

better bodies was alright but its nothing spectacular compared to even the crappy base oblivion body and armor well yea that needs a full overhaul and a half

would be better if the whole cant make oblivion etc in cry engine fiasco hadnt happened

i can honestly say morrowing oblivion Dragon age etc if based on cry engine would be the greatest looking RPG ever to bad the modder who original tried doing the Oblivion transfer to Cryengine was forced to stop under threat of lawsuits etc.

what people need to understand is that the author did not create a mod instead what you are downloading is a mod deployment package with the best mods for morrowind included. water environment character models animation etc are all done by seperate authors he just consolidated and made it easy.

God rays were cool and water is nice, but the night is way too dark and lots of objects look like they're using vertex lighting only instead projected lighting. With other words they look flat and boring.

yea as stated it makes a big difference on the Enviorment but just about everything else is the same as it use to be no mods really change that due to a lack of understanding from the mod community back then. That and almost no one actively mods morrowind anymore if anything they all moved on to trying to import it to Oblivion or etc. which did semi work.

Good points CER and yeah the melee combat still blows major chunks too, of course. So stiff and lifeless. Yeah it's an old game but Rune, for example, came out in 2000 and did it pretty fantastically, by comparison.

I will still probably check this out but dunno how much I'll actually play it.

i can tell you with AA cranked AF cranked the mods make the game look great in terms of the enviroment its just the NPCs PC just any creature really seems so out of place amongst the enviroment its lopsided.

I tried all this and it still looks bad to me. Sure the environment looks much better but even that is hit and miss. NPC's, armor, clothing, weapons all look like shit still. I just can't get into this game when there are better looking games out there with good gameplay to boot.

thats my point as well whitenoise the enviorment is fine better then some AAA titles in that regard but if the characters the ppl you interact with look terrible it ruins that immersion

then you were never as deep into morrowind as the people this is for.

the only reason to play a 10 (almost) year old game is if it was that good, and to us(me at least) it was that good.
no game sense has trapped like that did. diablo is the only one on par and i would have a hard time choosing one or the other.

im able to not focus on those details pretty well. i started playing this again vanilla a few months ago, this is just a bonus
