Look at the holes on PCB. Chip is in the corner, not on center. Cooling does not cover all chip.

![]() Well spotted! Cucore doesn't line up well at all eh. Cool to see 6850 with no powerconnector though, wonder what overclocking these is like? Few o these in crossfire ftw! I like the VRM area, + 4 of these http://image1.dhgate.com/upload/2010...1428932609.jpg ( triplex do this, will cost you an extra 30pence per card but just charge for that extra spent and BAM much better card for cheaper :P heh ) would mean nice overclocking headroom. potentially. |

A)You honored the name thread, it's simple
(COMPLETE but simple)B) 6850 and no power adapter (altough given it's around a 5750 and powercolor did the same to one, it's technically posible)

I can't see how they managed to get the power consumption down below the 75W that the PCIe slot can provide without affecting performance. At idle I can see and even under light usage, but if you plan on gaming with this card with everything turned on, I don't see it fitting in that power envelope without dropping the clocks.

You've probably never heard of a lot of the manufacturers who make the things you use every day. For example, there's only something like 3 or 4 factories in the world that build laptops even though there are dozens of brand names. The big name companies like Dell and HP submit their specifications to the manufacturers and the manufacturers build them and slap the logo of whatever customer they are doing the job for on the lid. If you've ever RMA'd a laptop to a location in Fort Worth, Texas, then most likely it went to the Arima RMA center there regardless of what brand it was because that's the name of the company that was contracted to build it. It's also the reason why you can go into the big box stores and see laptops on display that look damn near like identical twins and have identical specs but different names on the lid. Everything inside is exactly the same because they both came off the same assembly line.

I believe that just like many things that have "set" limits on paper, they're actual potential to output more power is well known to be 150watts on PCI-E 2.0, or at least that was the origional expectation but they instead decided to say it can only take 75watts. That's how i understand it.

Although I am intrigued by the product, I've never heard of the brand Triplex and I've lived in Taiwan for the last 7 years. It could possibly be that one of the manufacturers here changed their name, for example, Lantic. Or another thought just occurred to me that it might be an Asian Nvidia partner (Leadtek or Colorful) could be making ATI/AMD now or something.

Heatsink design looks a lot like the Asus CuCore 5770...which was really mediocre.

Green ( Going Going Gone !)
PCB made from Rice Patty .. easy to install components by pushing leads into patty. Cooling Fan ..use straw place paper fan on top (making a Pin Wheel) Push into PCIe slot ...easy now don't break the card.. Used Paper Clip for Electrical connection ... power here. Yeah!!!! this is TriPlex alright. LOL Complete but simple ..... and colorful too if ya paint it. (Caution: Injury may occur. Only for Professional Idiots) Note: Add Water and see Beautiful Fireworks Display. |

the cards a good idea as it will feed the needs of the pre-built(dell,PcWorld,Hp...stuck with apiece of shit) market...
usually when someone wants to upgrade their pre-built crap... they end up having to replace the psu minimum...or start a new build... that may not be the case now with these cards... a good idea... |

Considering the highly unbiased nature of the review, I doubt it.
