What are some good 120mm fans?

I'm looking for 8x 120mm fans for my rads. I need them to be blue led hopefully. I'm looking for maximum cooling with minimal noise? What are some good ones? What are some good non-led ones if I choose that route?

I've run the S-Flex series and enjoyed them very much.

If you dare, check out this thread that simply kills every aspect of the 120mm fans on a radiator:

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=261778

Personally you could spend a lifetime learning from Martin so check out some more of his threads he's started:

How good do you want it to look?

Hot glue is simple but can be messy.

Drilling holes, perfection wiring, and painting takes a ton of time but looks fantastic.

Well I have a buddy helping me mount my loop. He's a beast at modding, so I'm hoping it won't be too hard for us (or him rather).

edit: what do I need to add leds to fans? what is the actual led part i need?

edit #2: Frozencpu has 3 kinds of typhoons. 3000, 4250, 5400 rpm. Which one should I be getting?

I was looking at enermax just a minute ago. All I saw was red ones. Mine would have to be blue blades.

I wouldn't get any of those unless you have a hefty fan speed controller. This one is typically recommended for a rad, best noise/performance of the lot http://www.frozencpu.com/products/10...12B4AP-14.html

They're not sleeved so you might want to take advantage of their services.

Taking a look at that fan now LAN. I use a lamptron FC6 fan controller. I just saw http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=22037 They are yate loons, which I hear nothing but good about and blue led.

Before those high speed typhoons hit the market I'd have only used a yate for a benching rig. They just don't sound as nice at the same rpm, and now with the high speed typhoons I just don't see a place for yate's anymore. Soon I'm gonna grab another AP15 and throw LEDs on it from my dead sickleflow.

I like the typhoon you linked, but I have a few problems with it. The first is the gross gray fan blades. Icky. And compared to the yates, they're a bit more (I have to buy 8).

Well then I'd just get the yates with a fan controller so you can dial in the noise/performance, crank it for benching.

i agree, i tried the typhoons and they didnt push as much air as the s-flex plus the s-flex pushed twice the air of the typhoon when restricted such as a radiator or air filter usage would be

the high speed s-flex fans will be too quiet to even here running and they will cool well

joke? Something must of been wrong because the gt's have twice as much static pressure and blow way more air at a quieter DB..

I mostly use Antec Tri-Cools. They move quite some air, only downside they are quite noisy. Hell, I've been using them for so long I cant even hear the noise they make.

nope not a joke, i had them both sitting on my desk and "I" tested them

i also was surprised based on the specs "given" for it but for the two fans i tested the s-flex pushed more air when restricted

just because numbers are written on a box it doesnt mean they are true, in fact most noise ratings are based on so many different ways to measure that "quiet" fans are often as noisey as regular fans

Either way the fans I have are higher static pressure and cfm
